Home description

Looking for a modern villa in a peaceful location one minute from rolling hills, pine clad valleys, yet only a minute from a village with wonderful restaurants, Tapas bars and speciality shops? Well you won't need Phil and Kirstie from 'Location, Location, Location,' as this villa gives you all this from its position on a quiet lane in the centre of San Jose and you won't need to drive miles up a dirt track to get to it! Stylish, full of light and uncluttered, (so don't bring Ann Maurice, the House Doctor) the spacious villa has plenty of room for families or groups of friends to socialise, but also has private areas where couples can be alone together. And for fans of Can't Cook, Won't Cook, the village's bakery/bar/cake shop is just at the end of the lane for vital supplies of strong hot coffee and delicious food! With buses to nearby beaches, San Antonio, Ibiza town, and the airport only a €15 taxi ride away, unlike the majority of private villas - it's easily possible to spend time here without going to the extra expense of hiring a car, not many villas can offer you that!
We're proud to say that this villa was chosen for a 3 page feature in Spanish Homes magazine in Oct.07!

The Ibiza region

Ibiza, known as the white isle, has long been a favourite of the rich and famous. Its famous nightlife is well known but it also has fantastic restaurants, a cosmopolitan nightlife and wonderful opportunities for water sports or boating.
The coast has wonderful beaches, from pure white in the south of the island to the dark volcanic beach of Cala Boix in the north.
Ibiza Town has an ambience that is like no other place in Europe; sit and watch the 'Beautiful People' walking by that arrive each summer to party, or at midnight watch the club parades with their wild costumes, stilt walkers and dancers.
Close to the villa many activities can be enjoyed from walking through the countryside or along the coast, mountain biking, horse-riding or of course the numerous water sports or golf.
Whatever type of holiday you are looking for - Ibiza can deliver!

Sant Jose area

San Jose is one of the prettiest villages in Ibiza with an 18th century church at its centre. Located at the base of the highest mountain on the island (Sa Talaia), it has local bars, tapas bars (one which doesn't have a menu - you just look at the food displayed and point!), restaurants, a post office, bakeries, butchers and supermarket that sells well known brands. There are also one or two speciality shops. In the summer live music is held on a regular basis in the garden bar in the middle of the village - it's a lovely way to soak up the atmosphere on warm summer nights.
It is very much a local village and you are guaranteed to be away from the hustle and bustle of 'tourist world' yet you are only minutes from several beautiful beaches.

How to get there

The villa is situated 15 minutes drive form the airport into which fly most of the budget airlines and holiday companies.
Cheap flight co's include Jet2, Thomsonfly, Easyjet, Air Berlin (all winter), Monarch and First Choice
Taxis from the airport cost approximately 15 euros.

The villa is stylishly decorated with each of the bedrooms having it's own theme. To ensure your comfort all beds (king sized in the master bedroom) have premium mattresses and quality linen plus mattress and pillow protectors. The two main bedrooms lead out to a large terrace where you can gaze out at Ibiza's highest mountain Sa Talaia whilst relaxing in the 'pod'! The twin rooms have views over the valley at the rear of the villa and enjoy the morning sunshine.
The bedroom windows are equipped with shutters to keep the rooms cool.
All the bathrooms have quality fittings and there's plenty of room for personal toiletries.
The spacious, light and airy living/dining room has stylish, comfortable furniture to accommodate 8 guests when relaxing or dining and leads out to the large terrace which overlooks the pool.
Elsewhere the kitchen is spacious and fully equipped with everything you might need including lots of crockery, glasses and cutlery.
New for 2009: laptop, docking station, Hammam pool towels, hairdryers in each bathroom, toiletries from The White Co (London) PLUS delicious Philosophy shower gels!

Further details outdoors:
The villa has an al fresco dining area in a sunken garden, ideal for BBQs and shady lunches. Help yourself to to the delightful selection in the herb garden! After lunch move to the shady 'chill out' area and lounge on a comfy beanbag whilst listening to the soothing sounds of the water feature.
The private pool is 9 x 4 metres and is sunsplashed all day long. Teak sunloungers (new for 2009; Hammam pool towels), chairs and tables are provided for relaxation and dining. Large terraces off the bedrooms and lounge are perfect for lazing away the day! There are also private spots in the garden where small groups or couples can relax away from the main group.
The roof terrace offers stunning views across the countryside and is the perfect place for private sunbathing, relaxing in the evening under starlight, or watching the sun rise at dawn! It is equipped with teak steamer chairs and bamboo furniture under a pergola. Solar lights, candles (supplied) and lanterns create a wonderful ambience in the garden at night.
Being in a village location the villa is not secluded and is therefore not suitable for parties. As it is a quiet area we do ask adult groups to note that we prefer any outside music to be kept at a low volume (as sounds easily carries).

Further details

Air conditioning to all rooms (bedrooms & lounge) is offered as an optional extra for an additional £100 as its not always needed.
We are toddler friendly as the villa has gates from the lounge terrace & the dining area, to close off the pool area, making it safe. An Ikea wooden cot and highchair can also be provided FOC on request (along with bedding).
Parents please be aware that the pool has no paddling area (although the roman steps leading into the pool provide a small shallow area)
Adult groups please note this villa is not suitable for parties or loud music

Guestbook

Some samples from the lovely emails we've received;

'Thanks Jaki - your beautiful villa was great for us (we loved the decor) and we didn't need a car after all - so saved some pennies!' Zoe, Emily and rest of the gang (Sussex).

'Many thanks to you both - we had the relaxing holiday we needed the villa was fabulous. Say hi to the butcher in the village - his T-bone steaks were great!' John, Elaine and family (Liverpool).

'Thanks very much for sorting out the return of the deposit so quickly. We all wanted to say a massive thankyou for letting us stay in your fantastic villa! It exceeded all our expectations & was perfect for our week in Ibiza. Also, thanks for ensuring that we had everything that we needed - basic supplies, the Sunday trip to the supermarket, booking our taxis etc - you couldn't have made it any easier for us! As for the tan - I swear that it started to fade as soon as we arrived at Gatwick (once we eventually arrived).'
Mark Charles and friends (June 08)
