About the home

200 m2 family house surrounded by a 650m2 garden. Roofed deck with 2 sitting areas fully furnished, wide entrance hall, 40 m2 air-conditioned dining & living-room, fireplace & TV, 4 double bedrooms, each with built-in wardrobes, 1 full bathroom, 1 full shower room, fully-equipped kitchen & washing area, garage & central heating.

One min. walk from one of the most beautiful beaches on the Costa Brava, this comfortable Mediterranean family house is set a in garden with lawn & 50-year-old pine trees. It is enjoyable in the summer as well as in the winter. The area offers mild climate, breathtaking spots & a great number of facilities: town markets, shopping malls, all-budget restaurants, water sports & walking trails along the coast.

Comfortable, spacious house with cozy, tasteful furniture. Every room except for one bathroom has windows or balconies overlooking the garden. The dining and living room have four-paneled windows that lead onto the decked terrace. Big kitchen with pantry and more than enough cupboards that allow you to store everything easily and prepare meals in all comfort. Washing area outside the kitchen

The back of the house has a spacious, very sunny clothes-line area beside the washing place. Apart from the mentioned roofed decked terrace, there is another six-people sitting area under some pine trees. There is also a table-tennis at the other end of the huge garden where parties for over 60 people have been held.

The house is ideal for families with or without children. We are not ready to accept groups of very young people.

The Costa Brava/Catalonia region

The Costa Brava is well-known for its incredible scenery, coves, beaches, cliffs and fishing and medieval villages. There are big commercial towns, such as Platja d'Aro, with all kind of shopping and entertainment facilities and also cozy, well-preserved little towns that make you feel as if you were living 200 years ago, such as S.Feliu de Guixols, Tossa, Pals, or Cadaqués.
You can reach Barcelona, which is only 100Km. away, by motorway. There is a frequent bus service from S.Pol to Barcelona.
Girona, the capital city of the area, is also connected by buses every hour, and it's worth the visit. The old part of the city is remarkable, with its medieval cathedral, walls, Arabian Baths, old churches, museums and Jewish quarter, which is the second most important in Europe. It is also an interesting commercial centre, with excellent restaurants to suit every budget. If you feel like a treat, don't miss 'El Celler de Can Roca´ (3 Michelin stars) or 'Massana´ (1 Michelin star).
The climate is mild from spring till autumn, reaching its highest temperatures, 28ºC to 30º C, in July and August, and often also in June and September.

The Sant Feliu de Guixols / S'Agaro area

Sant Feliu de Guíxols, 2 km. south of Sant Pol, with a bus service that connects both spots every hour, is a charming town with lovely buildings from the 1920's like the Casino dels Nois, a harbor, a medieval church, a theatre, a History Museum, a Toy Museum, a market held every day where you can buy the best fresh fish, fruit and vegetables. On Sundays, there is also a clothes market where you can find nice things for very little money. The Porta Ferrada Festival in Sant Feliu offers concerts and ballets throughout the summer.
There are sailing trips from Sant Feliu to other nice towns on the Costa Brava, such as Tossa, Lloret or Palamós. Diving and sailing courses are also available.
S'agaró, 200m from our house, was the first luxurious development on the Costa Brava. It was built in the 1930's and its fabulous villas were designed by a famous modernist Catalan architect, R.Masó. La Gavina Hostal, within the development, is a five star grand luxe hotel which has hosted guests such as Ava Gardner and Xavier Cugat among others. El Camí de Ronda is a breathtaking walking path along the coast in S'Agaró that takes you from Platja de Sant Pol to Sa Conca for about 2Km of incredible beauty.

Platja de Sant Pol is approximately 35 min. from Girona/Costa Brava Airport and about 1h.50 min. from Barcelona El Prat Airport. By car from France, take the N-II road. If you take the motorway AP-7, exit at 7, Girona Sud and proceed to road C-65 towards S.Feliu de Guixols and Platja d'Aro. Platja de Sant Pol is located 2 Km. north of S.Feliu and 2 Km south of Platja d'Aro.
