Sansepolcro is easily accessible by AutoRoute E45. It is only one hour and fifteen minutes from Florence airport and three hours from Rome.

Sansepolcro location is a perfect starting point for an endless list of discoveries, like Arezzo, Siena, Florence, Cortona, Urbino and Perugia while the mountains offer great hiking trails.

A particular and enchanting event in Sansepolcro is the “Palio della Balestra” which takes place in the central “Torre di Berta” square.

“Torre di Berta” square becomes the arena for the historical competition between the crossbowmen from Sansepolcro and those from the close town of Gubbio. Both teams wear Renaissance costumes, inspired to “Piero della Francesca” paintings.

During September, it is also easy to find along the ancient streets of Sansepolcro local foodstuffs like olive oil, wine, jam, honey and handicraft.
