La Penna is situated in the hills above the walled town of Sansepolcro. The two storey stone house was recently restored by the owner who lives 80 metres away. The house nestles in woodland and meadows with great views of Lago di Montedoglio. Although located in the countryside La Penna is only 10 to 15 minutes away from Sansepolcro with it's numerous bars and restaurants as well as museums and galleries. It also offers easy access to many of the better known sites in Tuscany such as Florence, Siena and Arezzo. It is also close to the Umbrian border which means cities such as Assisi and Perugia are also within easy striking distance.
The property comprises ground floor level with living/dining room with two sofa beds and log fire, fully equipped kitchen and bathroom with bath. A spiral staircase leads to the second floor with two double bedrooms and bathroom with shower. The property has plenty of outside space and both floors of the building can be accessed from garden levels. The pool is situated 80 metres away.

The Tuscany region
La Penna and Sansepolcro are situated in the Valtiberina, the upper reaches of the Tiber Valley which affords easy access to many of Tuscany's cities such as Florence, Pisa, Siena and Arezzo. The Valtiberina is rich in Tuscan culture and art as well as offering exceptional food and wines.
La Penna is only 10 to 15 minutes' drive from the pretty walled town of Sansepolcro with a population of around 16,000 people The town boasts an abundance of restaurants and bars as well as all amenities such as supermarkets, small shops and a twice weekly market.
For art lovers the Sansepolcro civic museum displays several works by world famous artists.
Sansepolcro also hosts the annual cross bow completion against Gubbio every second Sunday in September which entails a run up of about ten days of festivities. There are also several festivals and music events hosted in and around this very lively little town.
