About the home

This superbly planned villa was designed and built to group specifications allowing for special detail and attention, resulting in a lovely holiday home equipped with modern facilities including Air-conditioning that can be used both for cooling and heating.
A hallway at the entrance leads to a large combined living and dining/ kitchen area, which is beautifully finished with patterned local tile floors, and overlooks the pool and garden area complete with sunbeds and Bbq. The living room is equipped with Cable flat TV, DVD player, Playstation and free Wi-Fi. This floor is served by a family bathroom and, for winter visitors a fireplace gives the living area a warm cosy atmosphere. A twin bedroom with ensuite is also located on the ground floor.
A traditional spiral stone stair case leads to the first floor which comprises of 2 bedrooms; master bedroom with ensuite and Cable flat TV and the third bedroom equipped with twin beds. The latter is served by a separate bathroom equipped with Jacuzzi bathtub and accessed through a hallway.
Property also enjoys the use of an adjacent communal Gym and Sauna(these are going to be available from March 2013).

The Island of Gozo region

Gozo forms part of the Maltese Archipelago and right in the centre of the Mediterranean Sea. Gozo’s small size is deceptive and its rich history and unique landscape catches the inexperienced traveler by surprise. Inhabited since mythical times, Gozo’s retains an aura of unblemished beauty, still largely un spoilt and accessible to all. The Islands history and past cultures are evident from its temples (thought to be the oldest standing structures in the world) and forts dotted around the countryside and along its shoreline. An old walled city dominates the centre of the island, high above its surrounding villages.

Terraced fields, bordered by miles of old rubble walls, slope down a myriad of hills and valleys, making the countryside an irresistible lure for ramblers, especially during the winter months when the island attains a green golden hue all round. Meanwhile the sea around its shores is crystal clear and the hidden rocky coves invite the snorklers with their safe bathing almost throughout the year.

The Sannat area

Sannat is situated on high grounds in the area of Ta Cenc famous for its breathtaking cliffs over looking the Mediterranean sea. This area is perfect for walks and mountain bikes. The closest beaches are Mgarr Ix-Xini beach and Xlendi beach (both less than 1.5km from property). There are 2 excellent Restaurants in the area Il-Girna and L-Iskoll (200 meters from property).

FERRY TO GOZO
Cirkewwa Ferry Port, Malta. The ferry runs frequently (approximately every 30 minutes). The trip takes around 25 minutes.

“Peaceful, relaxing and very” The Djar Ta Menzja is a fantastic place to stay if you are looking for a quiet, relaxing and peaceful holiday. The Baron Group staff were friendly and helpful throughout every part of the process from booking, checking in and (with a heavy heart) leaving. Gozo is a beautiful island to visit and the luxurious villa enhanced our experience. The facilities are excellent, the rooms are spacious and the air conditioning was a god-send. The private swimming pool is kept immaculately clean although it is quite deep (over 7ft) at the deep end so as with all pools, children should be supervised at all times. The garden is beautifully landscaped, very private and sheltered so this is usually some shade if you want to keep out of the sun. Overall this was a wonderful experience and we will definitely be returning next year, this time for longer.

“Fantastic apartment and service” Very comfortable and clean apartment with great service from the hosts. Not a lot going on in Gozo - especially in March when we went, but we weren't looking for a busy holiday. Was a great place to chill out in the sun with beautiful countryside to run and walk in. Locals were really friendly and we found lovely food in shops and restaurants. Great snorkelling too. We rented a car and it was really easy to travel both to and from the airport via the ferry and around the island. Would definitely recommend this apartment and company to friends and hope to visit again.
