The apartment is situated in the part of the complex designated for " over 50's". To stay you must be 50 or over, Both Worlds is located on the east side of Gibraltar, the part of the property 203 is in, is for adults only, it is a one bedroom apartment that sleeps only 2 people. There is a phone in the flat for incoming calls , Telephone 00350 20061881
is for incoming calls only, ADSL is availiable in the flat and also in the main reception.
The televison in the appartment offers a wide selection of channels, including all the main english channels, BBC ITV Channel Four/ Five and all the sky movies, sports etc, home from home as far as TV in Gibraltar.
The village of Catalan Bay is a 10 minute walk away,offering a small shop and some fish/tapas restaurants. The Caleta Hotel next to Catalan Bay provides bar meals as well as an Italian Restaurant. Should you feel like a little pampering the hotel also offers a Health and Beauty centre and a hair dresser, all available to non residents of the hotel.

The main town of Gibraltar is a short bus ride away ( the number 4 bus runs from a stop 5 minute walk from the complex at 20 minute intervals). There is also a shutle bus service that runs from outside the main entrance of Both Worlds to Market place.Taxis are plentful in town.

The owners of the apartment have endeavoured to provide a home from home with taste and style, a well equipped kitchen and bathroom,a welcome pack including tea. coffee, sugar, milk and mineral water. incoporating air conditioning in the bedroom. Ceiling fan in lounge, with portable fan , oil filled portable radiator.
The apartment has a deciated housekeeper who will ensure that the apartment is in a pristine condition for your arrival. Both the owner and the housekeeper live within the complex, one of whom will welcome you to your apartment and ensure everything is to your satisfaction.
A portable shopping trolley is provided, if required a basic shop can be provided at your expense. At 48 hours notice. Bed linen and towels are changed on a weekly basis. A small selection of books to suit all tastes are available in the apartment. Also a host of information leaflets of what to do , where to go or where to eat are provided for your perusal

Although located on the first floor of the complex , the apartment can be easily accessed via lift a minute's walk to the apartment door.
Both the bedroom and lounge offer superb views over the beach and the Mediterranean.

The Sandy Bay region
Gibraltar the gateway to the Mediterranen has attracted visitors for centuries. One of the most famous events was when Nelson's body was brought ashore at Rosia Bay following the Battle of Trafalgar. Strategic in the Second World War Gibraltar hosts a wealth of history for visitors to see.
Gibraltar is a British colony , which will give you plenty of reminders of home ,Policeman's hats, red mail boxes to the pubs with draught ale.
Intrested in nature on land or sea, Gibraltar has surprises, Dolphins and other marine mammals, including Pilot and Killer Whales and on occasions a Sperm Whale. For bird watches Gibraltar offers a variety of local and migatory birds. During the migration period thousands of birds visit Gibraltar as there last crossing point when heading throught the straits and on to Africa.
Modern day Gibraltar offers sightseeing , duty free shopping , as well as dining in one of Gibraltar's marinas or town restaurants.
English is the main language spoken, although Spanish is also widely spoken.
Currency is Pound Sterling with Gibraltar having its own coins and notes , their face value being the same as Pound Sterling.
Electricity is the same voltage as the UK and the apartment is fitted with standard three pin plugs

The climate has an average of 320 days of sunshine a year and temperatures can rise well above 30 degrees in summer. The sub tropical sun of North Africa is tempered by gentle sea breezes in summer
Both Worlds is located on the eastern side of the Rock in Sandy Bay. Originally built as a hotel it has been refurbished to a high standard and converted into apartments. It over looks a popular beach.
Apartment 203 is an attractive one bedroom apartment with its own private balcony, located in a section of the development which is restricted to persons over 50 . Relax on the balcony in the morning with a cup of tea and watch the sunrise, or in the evening with a pre dinner drink .
The straits of Gibraltar are amongst the busiest shipping lanes in the world. From the balcony you can watch the cruise liners, commercial shipping and little fishing boats sail past.
The Costa del Sol has many Golf course which are approximately a thirty minute drive away from the La Linea - Gibraltar border. See file in the apartment.
