If you're looking for that element of days gone by in an Isle of Wight holiday then it's got to be Sandown. Shanklin's sister town has held on to all those traditional seaside features that we secretly want from a beach holiday in the UK, so guests of our Sandown holiday cottages enjoy all the fun of the fair, amusements and gently sloping beaches with plenty of room. Sandown Bay is surrounded by miles of sand, and its beaches are some of the island's safest for bathing, so search properties nearby if you've got younger children who love a splash about in shallow waters.
