About the home

Whether you are coming to the island for the walking, or cycling, for a romantic few days, a short getaway, or a longer break, we want ensure that you enjoy your stay. We provide luxury Egyptian cotton towels and sheets, as well as duvets, pillows, dishes, pots and pans — all will need for a relaxing retreat.

The front suite has one bedroom with a 6ft super-king sized bed, an ensuite shower room, and a living room with sofa, dining facilities and a well stocked kitchenette.

The bed is a zip and link bed, so if you would prefer, we can separate it into 2 single beds for you.

On arrival you will find complementary tea and coffee, and milk in the fridge, for a refreshing cuppa to welcome you.

We cater for adults only, sorry no children or pets.

As the suite is on the first floor, accessible via the staircase, unfortunately we cannot cater for those unable to use the stairs.

The Isle of Wight region

The Sandown area

Superbly situated on Sandown Bay, Sandown has delighted holiday-makers for many years.

Early Victorian visitors were so captivated with the bay that Sandown saw an explosion of investment and development including the broad seafront promenades, parks and gardens. They built fine town and country villas, many of which have been converted into hotels and apartments.

The cliff-top path offers a walk with panoramic views of the bay and continues all the way to Shanklin, and at shore level, the coastal path runs around the bay from Yaverland, through Sandown and south to Shanklin with easy, level walking along the Esplanade and sea wall. For those of you who are coming to the island with walking in mind, the coastal path continues on, to the north across Culver Down towards Bembridge, and to the south beyond Shanklin, on towards Ventnor.

Sandown seafront is just yards from the town's shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants.

Safe bathing and a mild climate with consistently high placing in the U.K's sunshine records provide the essential ingredients for a relaxing holiday.

Along Culver Parade you'll find many activities including tennis, bowls, crazy golf, a pitch and putt course, as well as the Tiger Sanctuary and Dinosaur Isle Museum, and, with convenient access to buses and trains, getting about the island is easy.

Here are the options for travel:

By train:
With frequent direct trains from London into Portsmouth Harbour, meeting a 20 minute Wightlink catamaran service to Ryde, it is an ideal place for a weekend, a short break, or a longer getaway from it all.

If you are travelling by train to Southampton, there is a frequent connecting shuttle, taking just minutes, between Southampton Central station and the Red Funnel ferry terminal.

Also, South West trains operate an Island Line train service from the catamaran at Ryde to Sandown station, which is at the top of Station Avenue. They can also provide a through ticket into Sandown from London Waterloo or Victoria.

1. Wightlink operate car ferries from Lymington to Yarmouth, and from Portsmouth to Fishbourne. They also have a fast cat service for foot passengers only from Portsmouth to Ryde.

“Excellent quality apartment” We stayed on the Isle of Wight and had the best accomodation ever. The fittings were first class and the owners were very friendly. The location gave quick access to bus and was close to shops. We enjoyed the proximity to the sea - didn't enjoy the weather very much. Response: Hi Vincent, thank you for your review.
