Sudbury is a home from home for families, either for a holiday, or a short break. The spacious detached 1920s bungalow is in a prime residential position near the main Sandown seafront, centrally located yet quiet. The accommodation sleeps up to 5 adults and 2 children/teenagers plus bedroom space for travel cots. Bedroom 1 has a double bed; bedroom 2 has twin single beds; bedroom 3 has one single bed; bedroom 4 has sturdy bunk beds.

There is ample room to relax in the lounge, the dining room seats 8, and the long sunny garden is a safe place to play. The kitchen has a double electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, fridge freezer and lots of equipment. You can cook up a storm, or get a take-away, or eat out as shops bars & restaurants are just around the corner.

With Freeview TV, DVD player, stereo, beach attractions, nearby transport links to the rest of the Island, and on site parking, you have the perfect holiday home.

Off the South Coast of England, with a mild climate and plentiful sunshine, the Isle of Wight is an ideal holiday destination. Travel from the mainland by regular ferry services, or fly to Sandown airport. The Island offers something for everyone, unspoilt countryside, sandy beaches, water sports and other leisure activities, stunning views, bustling towns, tourist attractions, local events.

The Festival and the Bestival are two high profile music weekends and Cowes Week is a must for sailing enthusiasts. Other events include Walking Weeks and Water Sport competitions, and in 2011 The Island Games.

The coastline is spectacular with Blue Flag Gold Award sandy beaches, panoramic cliff top walks, dramatic outcrops like the Needles with its lighthouse and views of Dorset, or wooded chines with plants and waterfalls. There are charming harbours, numerous walks, villages with old world charm, historic houses, museums, galleries, shops, ice rink, cinema, theatres.

On the Isle of Wight you can look for fossils, walk in Tennyson's footsteps, tour Queen Victoria's house, or simply relax in the sun.


Sandown is one of the most popular family resorts on the island, with its blue flag gold award wide sandy beaches, and tourist attractions. Along the Esplanade are an award winning Dinosaur Museum; a Zoo featured on ITV's Tiger Island; a pitch and putt golf course; pleasure gardens with bowls, swings, crazy golf, go-karts, bumpy slide; a pier; water sports. In town are many shops, bars and restaurants and the Leisure Centre has a gym and swimming pool. Horse riding is nearby.

Sudbury is 250 metres/2 minutes walk from the main beach and High Street, 8 minutes walk from the train station, 1 minute walk from bus stops to the rest of the Island.

"Perfect in every way"

I stay in the bungalow with four generations of my family and all were more than just accommodated , what the bungalow didn't have you would never need. From the moment we arrived I felt at home inside was spotlessly clean with four decency size bedrooms all made up with two towels for each guest . Not once did any of us feel like we were under each others feet as it was very spacious. What the owner has achieved here is remarkable a home from home with all you could ask for even done to games DVDs CDs and almost every leaflet to the local attractions my only wish was we could of stayed longer. We definitely come back and have already recommended to friends and family. Mrs L Yelding

"Great Holiday Cottage!"

Our family of five plus Granny stayed in Sudbury for a week this summer and found the bungalow to be excellent. Very spacious and clean, and it had everything we needed. It's just an easy 2 min walk to Sandown's lovely, sandy beach and a great base to explore the island. All our communications with the owner were good and very helpful; and the person who met us with the keys was very friendly and helpful too. I would certainly recommend this rental, and hope to use it again next time we visit.

"Value for money, spotlessly clean and a true gem of a find."

The level of service we recieved was second to none right from the outset. The owner is friendly and professional and we feel priveledged to have had the opportunity to have stayed at the bungalow. This was a true jewel of a find. We visited the Bungalow 31st June to 14th July and given that we were a party of 7 there was ample room inside the bungalow that we didnt get under each others feet. It is a beautiful bungalow with all the creature comforts that you get at home. I would agree with the previous review that the lane is narrow leading up to the bungalow but we were able to get two cars up there and park with no problem. We also liked the fact that there was CCTV cameras situated at the beginning of the lane which gave peace of mind. It is very quiet which is what we like. The garden is large and beautiful and well kept as the gardeners were there whilst we occupied the property. There is also an air raid shelter in the garden which was amazing as I have never seen one before. There is also an abundance of birds and occasionally we looked out of the kitchen window to find a fox looking in. Amazing. Although we had rain for the majority of time we were there the owners had provided the means for us to entertain ourselves. There is plenty to do and the shopping centre and beachfront are just a 2 minute walk from the bungalow. I would highly recommend that if you are looking for a quiet, convenient location and a spotlessly clean property to rent then this bungalow is for you. Whether you are single, a couple or a family it has something for everyone. I for one would not hesitate to stay at this property again. I just want to say thankyou to the owners for their generosity in opening their home to us. My sons went over before us on the 31st of June and was met by the owners representative who was both helpful and friendly as they had got lost and she helped them find the property. All in all we had the best holiday ever. Thankyou.....

"Spacious and comfortable bungalow, great location."

Stayed at Easter time with husband and young daughter also took elderly parents-in-law with us for a break. We were pleasantly surprised at how spacious it was. Two very comfortable spacious double bedrooms and a single room, beds very comfortable. Decor clean and neutrally decorated, some soft furnishings a little outdated but that didnt bother us at all. New kitchen and bathroom well equipped everything you'll need. Comfy living room with ample sofas and t.v. Garden nice for children to explore in, with an anderson shelter which my daughter thought exciting. Just a 2 min walk to seafront and to shops. Which was great for grandparents to explore the antique shops. Parking right next to front of property, but you have to drive down a narrow driveway at the side of another bungalow as it's hiding behind. Cannot be seen from main roadside. We have a large people carrier and it was rather dicey but we managed ok. We had a great time staying here. I would recommend it to anyone with small children or grandparents. We will definately come back here as great base for exploring IOW. Very easy picking up keys as the lady who looks after the property for the owners lives in the adjacent bungalow. She was extremely friendly and helpful and if we wanted to ask anything she was happy to help.
