Situated in the tourist spot Porto Taverna, renowned for ist's beautiful beaches with a view of the Island of Tavolara, the Residence Hotel "Lu Nibareddu" blends in perfectly with the unspoiled surroundings of a sea of innumerable shades of blue - the thriving scub with its numerous bushes of juniper, from wich the name of the Residence derives. The various apartments are villas of brich-work, built conveniently close to all the necessary facilities and places of entertainment but at the same time affording the privacy needed for a tranquil holiday. All the villas have sea or panoramic view and the majority of the rooms have a telephone. The complex of buildings starts at the beach and follows the slope of a caracteristic hill of junipers and flowers right to every "hearth" of the village where you can find a restaurant/pizzeria, swimming pool, tennis court, 5 a side football and a small theater. A snack bar and mini-restaurant for lunch are situated directly on the beach. During the tourist season, tournaments, "feste" and gymnastics are organised in the centre of the village

The Sardinia region
The north east coast of Sardinia is richly populated with small islands, some of them surrounded by natural environment and with lots of history. The Tavolara archipelago situated opposite Porto Taverna a (Natural Marine Park) is a protected area and offer to visitors an uncontaminated marine environment and is rich in natural wonders. During the summer period there will be open air cinema shows. You can visit the Tavolara archipelago by organised boat trips. A very short distance away is the Figarolo island (Golfo Aranci) renowned for its beautiful deep sea scapes which makes an irresistible attraction for scubadivers!
A little bit towards the north we will find the islands of Soffi, Mortorio e Mortoriotto which are jewels and near the very - popular - with - the - VIPs - Costa Smeralda. Finally the archipelago of La Maddalena...this too is a protected area and natural park, which has a number of islands of different sizes. The beautiful "Spiaggia Rosa" (pink beach) and Spargi are found there, together with the fascinating Caprera history, with the Giuseppe Garibaldi museum and his REAL house perfectly preserved with lots of historical items. This is open to the public.
San Teodoro area
The fauna: The wild fauna teodorina accommodates some species present only in our island, therefore an only natural treasure.. source of the love and the consciousness that the Sardinians try for their earth and of the respect that carry to her. In this earth predominate the wild boar, the vixen, the marmot, the real eagle and the wild cat.
The marina's Park: The two islands are the tips of relief of the marine park. Famous for a fascination tangible and their strong contrast. In fact Molara rises imposing from the sea with its calcareous cliffs, the high falsie and the caves. Molara instead has a shape more rounded et circular, hilly zone extremely rich of vegetation.
The Lagoon: An independent world where the silence is broken from flamingo’s shout and from their rose march that breaks the blue’s sky. A natural habitat of approximately 300 hectares of inner waters with peculiar characteristics in which is important to cite beyond the flamingos, other migratory birds and good amounts of molluscs and crustacean
How to get there
The Residence Lu Nibareddu in the north east Sardinia is situated on the hill that overlooks the Porto Taverna bay, it faces the islands of the natural park of Tavolara and Molara about 20 km to the south of Olbia and not far from the exclusive Costa Smeralda.
By car from Olbia
Take the coastal state road SS125 from Olbia in the direction of Nuoro and continue for about 18 km until you arrive in the locality "Monte Petrosu", and soon afterwards turn left and follow the road signs to “Residence hotel Lu Nibareddu”.

Olbia, is situated at about 20 km from the Lu Nibareddu village and there is a Port where all the national ferries are connected and also there is the Olbia and CostaSmeralda airport with various national and international routes. At the bottom of this page you can find some helpful links.
