The Sardinia region
Crystal clear sea, endless silky white beaches alternating with steep cliffs and small rocky bays. Rugged mountains give way to verdant hills, tranquil lakes and moors, inhabited by colourful butterflies and unusual birds. The scent of the pine forests and the fragrant macchia mixed with the sweet smell of myrtle and lemon trees. The sensation of finding oneself in a region where the stunning beauty of nature, the genuine character of the people, the many typical dishes and the ancient traditions seem to have remained unchanged over the years. Traces of Phoenicians, Carthaginians, Romans, Arabs, Byzantines and Spanish influences, assimilated and integrated into its own culture. A feeling of authenticity even in the larger, more modern towns.
San Teodoro area
San Teodoro without doubt has the best beaches in Sardinia, rich in fauna, including flamingos. In the town itself you can admire the Church of San Teodoro, the Museum of Sea Civilisation and Piazza Gallura, the heart of San Teodoro, where you can enjoy music, market stalls, bars, craft shops and a fantastic selection of restaurants.
The most beautiful beaches are those of Cala D'Ambra, La Cinta and Isuledda. An trip to Mount Nieddu offers a marvelous display of natural rock sculptures illuminated by the colours of the sea. In the immediate proximity of San Teodoro lie the beaches of Capo Coda Cavallo, Cala Brandinchi, Lu Impostu and the Punta Est which is part of the Tavolata and Capo Coda Cavallo Marine Park.
Events held in San Teodoro include L'Agliòla, the Patron Saints Celebrations definatly not to be missed the Kite surfing contest held in September on the fantic white sand beaches of La Cinta beach.

No fixed change-over day or min/max durations, ideal to combine with low cost Easyjet flights from Gatwick to Olbia or Ryanair flights from Stansted, Liverpool & East Midlands to Alghero.

We had a fantastic week in September, the Apartment was spotlessly clean, just a stroll to la cinta beach,well equipped and had great views from the balcony, ideal with a glass of wine to watch the sunset !.
The kite surfing championships were taking place during our stay and found it really fasinating to watch all the races.
There was a great selection of restaurants nearby and lots of market stall to wander around after dinner set amonst the streets of the old town, but the best of all was the miles and miles of white sand beaches, our best holiday yet !
