Casa “Panorama” : uniqueness is already in its name. “Panorama” is the Italian word for “overview”, and in this case there couldn’t be a more appropriate name for these two brand new apartments facing directly the lake.
Every apartment enjoys an enviable lake view both from a nice balcony, fully equipped with a brand new wooden table and chairs ideal for your meals, and from a shared big terrace in which you have your own deckchairs to lay down and toast to your holiday with a glass of Italian wine.
Inside, Casa “Panorama” features brand new appliances and a smart division of the space: a wide living/kitchen room with all the appliances you could wish: dishwasher, washing machine, fridge, freezer and microwave oven plus a satellite TV and a sofa bed useful for two adults or kids. From here you can “jump” directly to the master bedroom with a double bed and a cupboard and last but not least the bathroom with an ample shower .
You just need to cross the road to arrive to the lake beach and, in case you want to bring your boat or dinghy, a private boat seat will be at your disposal.
It is worth mentioning that Casa Panorama has also its own private garage and heating system .

The Lombardy / Lake Como Area

Lake Como is 50 km long , it is the deepest lake in Europe and one of the most beautiful in Italy.
In the 19th century European writers, artists and statesmen discovered the region which has been a retreat also for wealthy Milanese families who built beautiful villas. Some of them are open to the public and their gardens are really worth to be visited. Near Varenna is villa Monastero, Villa Melzi in Bellagio, in Lenno Villa Balbaniello. Lovers of flora and fauna must visit the gardens of Villa Carlotta in Tremezzo!

Its openness to “VIP” has recently been confirmed by the presence almost all year around, of George Clooney, Donatella Versace, Elton John, Madonna just to say some names…who have decided to make this area their own private paradise.
Every season is worth a visit, because the climate is mild.
Springtime starts in April, May and June are warm. In July the temperature reaches 25-30 degrees, but there is always a lovely breeze, la Breva, a must for surfers and sailing boats. September and October are much loved too and winters are usually cold but bright with lot of sunshine .
In summer in particular you can practise golf, swimming, sailing and all watersports. In winter the skiing slopes at St Moritz, San Bernardino, Madesimo, Gotthard are at easy reach ( 90 minutes by car).
During all the year instead, thanks to the Mediterranean climate, high mountains around the lake invite hiking and walking.
And for the relax-supporters, excursions to Como ( 35 km), Milano (80 km), Lugano ( 35 km) are recommended. Shoppers will love the designer fashion factory outlets near Como and the Swiss border.

San Siro / Molvedo area

The town of San Siro lies on the western shores of the Lake and is 35 km far from Como. Molvedo, where Casa Panorama is located, is one of its small hamlets.
Here you can still feel the atmosphere of the ancient past .The surroundings are very quiet and picturesque. The village is very quiet, but it has supermarket, bank, pharmacy and “trattorie “where you can taste lake fish ( lavarello, alborelle, misoltini).

In the bay in summer there are lots of surfers, sailing boats and swimmers. The water is clear and a lovely breeze comes up in the afternoon, a surfers'paradise! Along the shores you can find secluded beaches and picturesque spots.

For mountain lovers there are walks through small and sunny villages from the lake level to the top of the mountains..You can go for long walks along the “Antica Regina” road which was built by Romans. Once it connected lake villages with the Alps, now it goes through woods and hamlets all up to the lake. You can reach the high peaks above San Siro where you can enjoy spectacular views.
Its location is ideal for day trips by ferry to the other shore of the lake( Bellagio) and by car to nearby small lakeside towns and villages. For extensive shopping and night life Menaggio, a lively town with the oldest golf course and tennis courts, is nearby.

By air: to Milan Malpensa or Linate airports (80 km) or to Bergamo (130 km) by low -cost airlines Ryanair, Easyjet etc.
By car from Switzerland: Gotthard, Lugano, Porlezza, Menaggio, San Siro, Molvedo
By car from Switzerland :Spluegen Pass, Chiavenna, Gravedona, San Siro, Molvedo
By car through Italy: Milan, autostrada towards Como.

We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Panorama and thought the apartment was superb, by far the best of our holiday accommodation in our 6 weeks away. It was lovely to receive the bottle of wine on arrival and the other bits and pieces left in the kitchen . i.e. coffee, salt, pepper was very welcome
The apartment was very nicely located. There is no improvement necessary except if you could widen the road and slow down the traffic so we can enjoy riding our bike that would be really good. We had just come from a very nice property near Sienna and the prices were very similar so it would seem that that is about the correct price.

thanks for your email. We thought Lake Como was beautiful and the San Siro area was perfect for us, very quiet and more residential than commercial.
We had an amazing time at the apartment, your service prior to us arriving was excellent and your daughter was very kind and helpful when she collected us at the airport.
The apartment itself was ideal, simple and modern, it was far more than we expected.
The price was good and the owner was very helpful.
Everything about our holiday was fantastic, thank you so much for all your help.
We hope to book a holiday with you again.
One idea that might help; it would be great to include the use of a simple small rowing boat with the apartment.
