Imagine a tiny balcony with a small and comfortable round table full of books. Imagine you, comfortably sit on a chair, sipping a cup of tea. Imagine now - if you can- how beautiful and breathtaking would be the lakeview from here on sunset. This pleasant balcony and its secluded apartment match perfectly the needs of a couple who wants to enjoy the lake from a different perspective: both the picturesque village of Rezzonico, the medieval suburb at the feet of Castellaccio’s rock, and the quietness of the lake everyday from the balcony.
The apartment is independent and situated on the first floor of a private house, very close to the centre of Rezzonico; it consists of a large living room with a double bed , an independent fully equipped kitchen and bathroom with shower. The house borders a large park and the famous road “Antica Regina”, built by Romans. Once, the road usued to connect lake villages with the Alps, now it travels through woods and boroughs all up to the lake. And if you love mountains and trekking, you can reach the high peaks above San Siro where you can enjoy spectacular views.

The Lombardy / Lake Como Area
Lake Como is 50 km long and one of the most beautiful in Europe. It is also well known because of the versatility it offers anytime to anybody. In summer in particular you can practise golf, swimming, sailing and all watersports. In winter the skiing slopes at St Moritz, San Bernardino, Madesimo, Gotthard are at easy reach ( 90 minutes by car). During all the year instead, thanks to the Mediterranean climate, high mountains around the lake invite hiking and walking. And for the relax-supporters, excursions to Como ( 35 km), Milan (80 km), Lugano ( 35 km) are recommended. Shoppers will love the designer fashion factory outlets near Como and the Swiss border.
San Siro area
Rezzonico is a characteristic medieval suburb dominated by the XIV century Castle built by Pope Clements XIII family. It is one of the most charming villages on Lake Como, situated on the sunny western shore of Lake Como near Menaggio ( 7 km) and Como ( 35 km). Flights of steps, small paths come downhill to the lake among ancient houses with elegant portals and pastel coloured houses and porticos where fishermen spread out and repair their nets. Along the shores you find secluded beaches and picturesque spots. For mountain lovers there are walks through small and sunny villages. From the peaks of Monte Bregagno you have the view of 3 lakes: Como, Piano, Lugano. You find rural settlements with their old houses made of natural stone, little piazzas with wash places and ancient chapels which take you back in time. Art and history live again in the villages of Tremezzina. Rezzonico is a good starting point for short excursions to the main villages of the lake: Menaggio, Bellagio, Varenna, Tremezzo, Lenno, Como. It is possible to visit the most beautiful towns of Lombardy and the most well known mountain scenaries of Valtellina, Val Chiavenna, Engadina, on day excursions. The village is very quiet, has few restaurants, small supermarket, bank, pharmacy. There is also a small market every two weeks on Wednesdays. For extensive shopping and night life Menaggio is nearby.

By air: to Milan Malpensa or Linate airports (80 km) or to Bergamo (130 km) by low -cost airlines Ryanair, Easyjet etc. By car from Switzerland: Gotthard, Lugano, Porlezza, Menaggio, San Siro, Rezzonico By car from Switzerland :Spluegen Pass, Chiavenna, Gravedona, San Siro, Rezzonico By car through Italy: Milan, autostrada towards Como.

Lucia Bruni was a wonderful host and made us feel very welcome. She was able to provide us with suggestions for visits, as well as informing us of the local amenities. She even invited us around for a lovely Italian meal. Communication was no problem, it did assist with my wife being French (speaking some Italian) as Lucia speaks good French as well. I am sure because of Lucia’s friendly nature that communication would not have been a problem in any circumstances. I don’t need to tell you how beautiful the Lake Como area is and the fact that it is unspoilt by tourism makes it even better. The peaceful tranquil feel of the place meant it was a great place to relax and combining that with strenuous walks was just what we wanted. I would defiantly recommend the place to others and in fact already have. Bernie and I would defiantly consider visiting again in the future. Gary and Bernie Mason
Dear Lucia, what can we say? We had excellent holidays in the region Lago di Como and met in Signora Bruni an very amiable and interesting landlady, who speaks French and Latin! Just wanted to let you know that we had a wonderful time staying in the apartment last week. The accommodation was excellent and very clean and tidy, even better than what I was expecting. I would definitely recommend it to anyone and I would have no hesitation in staying there again. I wish I was still there sitting on the balcony overlooking the lake - the view was wonderful. The best accommodation which we have stayed in around the Italian Lakes. Lucia Bruni is a very friendly and welcoming person who went out of her way to make us feel very welcome. Dear Lucia, It is very nice to hear from you. I have spoken with Tanya and we agree that it is difficult for us to provide much feedback as everything was so perfect. A few thoughts though: The directions were excellent and we found the apartment with no problem. The apartment was really excellent. Clean with plently of space and that perfect balcony. The bed was very comfortable. The welcome was very nice and we felt very comfortable all week, especially when we discovered we all spoke some French.
