The apartment can be found at only a few meters away from the magnificent La Concha beach, with its charming and almost perfect shell like bay. The gorgeous La Concha beach is considered one of the most beautiful beaches in the world.
The area surrounding the Apartment is a very clean cut area; a carefully planned architecture has been a main feature, combined with its polished streets, avenues and walks.
The street where this apartment is located is rich in character and it is also filled with lovely buildings, of impeccable style and subtleness.
Directly at your door step, you shall find views of the Paseo de Francia with its lovely seven palaces. Also delimiting the street where the Gernika apartment is located runs the river.
Besides its gorgeous terrace, the Gernika apartment, offers a 150 meters of wooden floors space, with solid wood wardrobes and it is based in a romantic building that with an original stone built façade. The building has an elevator.

Walk through the doors and you will be surrounded by the relaxed, comfortable and warm feeling that this lovely apartment has to offer. The Gernika is fully equipped with all the modern commodities, such as TV,DVD, HIFI, that will help you relax and enjoy a pleasant stay.
The Gernika has a spacious and completely furnished living/dining room area with wide glass windows, the main front windows also gives access to the terrace and its amazing views. There you will find a spacious table and comfortable chairs where to relax and disconnect after a busy day shopping and sightseeing. In the living room area there is a sofa and offers a dining space also.
The apartment has 3 bedrooms, each of all are equipped with two individual beds of 90 cm each. Two of these bedrooms face the street and the third one faces a quiet interior patio.
The kitchen in this apartment is extremely pleasant, with abundant sun light, a balcony as seen in the photos and it is fully equipped with all the modern cons such as dish washer, washing machine, oven, fridge/freezer and all the kitchen equipment that from day one, will make you feel like at home.
The bathrooms are comfortable and are equipped also with bath tub and fresh towels ready to be used upon arrival.
The Basque Country/Navarre region
The Basque Country (Euskadi) has a totally different feel to it from the rest of Spain. Its temperate climate can be more wet than the rest of Spain.
Its landscapes are lush and its people are known for their very difficult language and desires for independence.
As well there are significant differences between the three provinces: Vizcaya (Biscay), dominated by the resurging Bilbao; Guipuzcoa, a land of farmers and fisherman; and finally, mountainous Alava.
Navarre, which was once a Basque kingdom, is claimed by nationalists as part of Euskadi, but does not quite fall within this autonomous region.
The San Sebastian / Centro area
The area surrounding the apartment is strategically located in the heart of San Sebastian's city centre, offering easy access to all interesting attractions, such as the Old Town, the Palacio de Congresos, the Auditorium Kursaal, the fishing harbour and it's renowned market, Mercado de San Martín, where besides all the trendy clothing shops you may also find all the local fresh daily products and delicacies.
If you are looking forward to have easy access all the shopping area, tourist attractions and experience, without a shadow of a doubt, one of the highlights that San Sebastian has to offer, its exquisite cuisine and gastronomy that have been able to enchant and seduce even the most demanding tastes, the Gernika is your place of choice.
This area offers all the commodities that you might need during your stay in San Sebastian, including a well connected bus and train service and also a variety of restaurants, bars, shops of all kinds, etc.
Some great activities to keep in mind during winter months in San Sebastian are amongst others, visiting a cider house, sampling home made cider with typical Basque dishes such as Cod omelette, steak, etc...
Also in January you have the "fiesta de San Sebastian", "la tamborrada" involves beating drums 24 hours non-stop.
The huge firework tournament during Semana Grande in August; the International Film Festival in September in the Kursaal; as well as the Jazz festival in July.

If you are arriving to San Sebastian airport in Fuenterrabia - approximately 20 km outside of San Sebastian - you can catch a taxi which will cost around 20-25€ and should take about 20-25 minutes assuming there are no traffic jams. Alternatively there is a bus that leaves the airport every 20 minutes from outside the airport. This bus leaves you in Plaza Guipuzcoa, the very centre of San Sebastian; this bus costs around 1.45€. It makes various stops en route, approximate time of journey 45 minutes - 1 hour. If you are arriving to San Sebastian by train, it will be a short taxi ride to the apartment, around 10€.
