House | 3 bedrooms | sleeps 7
(The calendar is up to date).
//// There are 2 mountain BIKES available for hire at the villa. Price per bike per week: €50 //// I checked local hire shops and they charge over €100/ week so I figure €50 is a decent price. Obviously the bike hire shops offer more options: Kids bikes, daily rental, etc. They can also deliver but ideally need 2 or 3 days notice. (The area is lovely for getting around on a bike).
The villa is in a beautiful area 200 mtrs from San Pedro and Borabora beach, and 400 metres from Guadalmina beach.
There's a garden terrace with comfy seating, a bbq & fridge, wooden decking and a beautiful pergola that protects you from the direct summer sun during the day when it might be a little too hot for some. The covered terrace is ideal for laid-back eating, barbecuing and just enjoying the outdoors, day and night.
The garden gets lots of sun and is ideal for both young and old. There is also a games terrace with table-tennis, dartboard, beach toys, inflatable paddling pools for toddlers, etc... all available.
The villa has 3 bedrooms: 2 with double beds, 1 with bunk beds. There is also a futon sofa-bed and 2 cots available if needed. Please note: One of the double rooms is upstairs and is reachable by an outside staircase. This bedroom has it's own bathroom and enjoys a pleasant view.
The kitchen is fully equipped and has everything you might need and more, very cooking friendly.
The lounge is equipped with UK free-view TV, a DVD player, and speakers you can connect to your laptop or phone. There is internet access / wifi available throughout the villa and gardens. Not a bad idea to bring along a laptop or phone that you can connect to the wifi with. It would help with local info you might want, e.g. maps, local info, etc.
The dining table comfortably seats 6 people, (high-chair available). There is also a breakfast terrace by the kitchen with a table that seats 4. There's fresh herbs in the garden which you are welcome to use.

The Costa del Sol region
Average days of rain/ month for the area, (taken from a weather site).
January 7, February 6, March 5, APRIL 5, MAY 3, JUNE 1, JULY <1, AUGUST <1, SEPTEMBER 2, OCTOBER 4, November 6, December 6.
The area is centrally located on the coast. Everything you might need is within 5 or 10 minutes drive from the villa: Two major shopping centres, over 15 golf clubs, sport centres, Puerto Banus for it's restaurants and nightlife, cinema and casino, and Marbella for an evening out maybe, with its little streets in the old part of town.
Also within 10 minutes drive, there are over 20 different beaches you can visit. All slightly different in their own way... some busier or sportier, some quieter and more laid-back, all with different types of beach bars and restaurants, (and prices).
Malaga airport is 40 minutes drive to the East, picturesque in-land town Ronda is 35 minutes drive North, Gibraltar and windsurfing & kite-surfing hot-spot Tarifa are about 45 minutes drive to the West. Tarifa's definitely a good day out if it's not too windy. All surfing gear, etc available for hire around Tarifa. Less busy mid-week.
A rented car is not essential but would be recommended. It gives you a bit more freedom and for the price, it's worth it. If you don't rent a car you can get by. Half the things you'll want to reach are walking distance, and for the rest there's bikes available for rent at the villa, or taxis are an option too.
San Pedro de Alcantara
San Pedro and Borabora beaches are 200 metres away and enjoy a few beach style restaurants, beach bars and sun beds. A few spots nearby worth mentioning are...
Chiringuito Guayaba, (200 metres): Laid back beach bar and restaurant, offering drinks, great tapas and local sea-food. Prices are more affordable here. (Recommended!) Also has sun beds.
Borabora (200 metres): Beach club with a restaurant, bar, swimming-pool, sun-beds, and water-sports hire. Daily pool pass €10.
El Ancla (400 metres): Restaurant with a big swimming pool by the sea, serving some great food. Daily pool pass €10.
San Pedro Promenade starts about 200 metres away. Enjoyable for nice strolls, families with young children, jogging, cycling, skating, dog walking. Along it you'll find restaurants, beach bars and children's play areas. There are bikes available for hire at the villa. There is also jet-ski's available for rent on the beach and a tennis / gym club a little further, about 1 km away.
200 metres away there is a wood which gives the area a nice green feel to it. Fishing boat mooring area about 300 metres walk from the villa.
San Pedro town centre is a nice 20 minute walk away, going past gardens, fountains and children's play areas. San Pedro is useful for all things you might expect from a village/ small town: shops, small supermarkets, pharmacies, banks, terrace cafes, pedestrian streets, Spanish style squares and a street market, (every Thursday).
