The Costa del Sol region

Convenient for trips to Estepona, fashionable Puerto Banus and Marbella, historical Ronda and of course, Gibraltar. With the best climate in Spain the Costa del Sol has over 300 days of sunshine. One of Europes best golfing destinations, the Costa del Sol also enjoys beautiful beaches, lovely mountain views, great bars and restaurants.

San Pedro de Alcantara

San Pedro de Alcantara is just a few kilometres from the cosmopolitan towns of Marbella and Puerto Banus, yet just a few minutes drive away from the Sierra de Ronda Mountain Range and national park. San Pedro itself is an unspoilt, traditionally Spanish village, with narrow streets which are packed with small shops, sidewalk cafes and bars. There is a street market every Thursday which is a shoppers paradise. A larger street market is held every Saturday alongside the Bull Ring at Neuva Andalucia about 15 minutes away.

San Pedro also has the last summer fair (feria) in Andalucia which is the second week in October - a very colourful affair!

The beautiful beach at San Pedro is not to be missed, with its new promenade you can stroll to several excellent beachside restaurants, many specialising in fish dishes. There is also a beautiful man made beach at Puerto Banus where the sea is quite shallow, benefiting families with younger children.

For families with children there are fantastic facilites including, the Sea Life Centre at Benalmadena, Selwo Safari Park at Estapona and Water Parks at Mijas and Torremolinos. There is also Tivoli World , junction 222 on AP-7,which opens from 6pm to midnight- children of all ages will love it.

For the restaurant goers amongst you, nearby Benahavis is a foodies paradise. There are many restaurants here with a wide price range to suit all pockets. Highly recommended.

"Very comfortable apartment in a beautiful setting"

We stayed for a week in mid-May 2013 with our 2 grown up sons and 8 year-old daughter. The apartment is well equipped and very comfortable with stunning views. Lovely pool (& great weather!) It is also very conveniently situated for easy access to local amenities & all that region has to offer, including Gibraltar

We all loved it & will certainly be returning.
