The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region
The southern Costa Blanca or White Coast as the name means, has an average of 320 days a year of sunshine and maintains an average year round temperature of 24°C. According to the World Health Organisation the area has the "healthiest climate in the world". This is caused by the combination of constant year round warm temperatures and the two huge salt lakes rich in minerals of "Laguna de la Mata" (now a conservation area) and the "Salina de San Miguel" that surround Torrevieja. The natural salt lakes dry the air, therefore reducing humidity and producing a healthy atmosphere beneficial for people who suffer with chest problems, arthritis, rheumatism etc. These lakes are also home to a host of wildlife including large flocks of flamingos.
San Miguel / Torre Azul area
San Miguel de las Salinas offers supermarkets, banks, medical centre etc. It also boasts two of the best restaurants in the area. The place comes to life on market day (Wed) and on the many fiesta days when people of the village process through the streets and there is dancing on the church square.
Villamartin which is 10 mins by car offers a huge range of restaurants and bars and a lively atmosphere at night especially in high season.
For sun and sea lovers, the many beaches just a few miles away offer a wide variety of water sports and the Aqua Park in Torrevieja is very popular with children.
If you need a change, the historic town of Orihuela with its fascinating medieval quarter is not far away. The lovely city of Murcia also provides a stimulating day out with its beautiful cathedral, museums, and elegant cafe-lined squares.

NB: Prices may be subject to change at the owner's discretion. To reserve a booking we require an initial deposit of 25% of the total of the reservation. A damage deposit is also required for the amount of 200.00 euros which is refunded back to your credit/debit card within 14 days from departure date upon the property being checked. The balance of the reservation is due 8 weeks prior to arrival (including the damage deposit). Please note that credit/debit card payments incur a 1.5% surcharge.
A departure clean is payable upon arrival in local currency for 70.00€ All linen and towels are provided - laundry costs are 10.00€ per person. Please note beach towels are not provided.
