Bougainvillea cottage: has a large sitting room, with fully fitted separate kitchen / and dining area which looks on to the courtyard. The high ceiling is timbered in the typical Canarian tradition and the walls have been plastered showing exposed stone. There is an arch which leads off from the sitting room to the large kitchen and bedroom.
The bathroom has bath/shower, w.c. bidet, wash basin, towels and hairdryer, everything you will need to make this your perfect holiday home. The bedroom is spacious with fitted cupboards chest of drawers bedside cabinets and a full length mirror.

Mount Teide at 3718 m. is the highest mountain in Spain, known for its spectacular volcanic landscapes and for the native flora unique to Tenerife. It is less than an hours drive from Bougainvillea cottage.
Whatever you do Tenerife has something special to offer. There are many leisure and sport activities, as well as museums, theatres, theme parks and an abundance of entertainment not forgetting truly international restaurants of outstanding quality.
San Miguel de Abona area
Bougainvillea cottage is located at Las Bodega Casa Rural in San Miguel one of the oldest towns in the south of Tenerife . It is the administrative centre for the area of San Miguel de Abona and is surrounded by fertile land interspersed with barrancas mountains and pine forests. San Miguels narrow streets and classic Canarian architecture has enabled the general public to love the historical yet rural feel of this town and county. There is plenty to do and discover. There are local fishing villages, traditional markets with an abundance of fresh products, unspoilt countryside to walk, run, hike, picnic, and enjoy as well as windsurfing, countless water sports, golf courses, horse riding, carnavals,even ralley car racing around the mountains above San Miguel in September.
How to get there
La Bodega is in San Miguel just 15 minutes by car or taxi from the Reina Sofia Airport in the south of Tenerife. Take the motorway, turn of at the San Miguel sign and drive straight to the village. Some of our guests like to simply relax in the local area, but if you wish to explore what this beautiful island has to offer car hire is recommended, there are many competitive car-hire companies in Tenerife, vehicles can be ordered on the internet, or we can advise you of companies that our clients have been satisfied with.
