Our luxury Air Conditioned holiday Apartment is in the Spanish town of Duquesa, in the Manilva area of the Costa Del Sol.
The beautiful Blue Flag Beach of Sabinillas is a 5 minute stroll away. Duquesa is situated between Estepona and Sotogrande. The adjoining small town of Sabinillas has a lovely Spanish feel, not overly populated with tourists! However it does have all the bars, cafes, restaurants and shops you will require.
We are a 5 minute flat walk from the Beach and Duquesa Port, the community is gated and guarded with secure underground car parking. You have a Landscaped gardens complete with pools, tennis courts.
The Apartment is on the Ground floor, with a large Terrace. The terrace has a shaded seated area for dining or lounging with a book, or a sunny area where you can sunbathe for as long as you wish. It is fully equipped with Sun loungers, patio furniture and BBQ.

This is a two bedroom / two bathroom apartment, the Master bedroom with ensuite bathroom and a Twin Bedroom. The Lounge has a 32" Flat Screen TV and dvd player with a selection of discs, the Kitchen is fully equipped with Microwave, Dishwasher, Frdge freezer, Washing Machine and if you are really keen an Iron and ironing board.
We are situated perfectly for all the natural beautiful attractions of Andalucia. Ronda, San Roque,Tarrifa Beaches, Puerto Banus and Marbella is 25 minutes away(shopping!!) and for those who love golf Valderrama Golf Course is a 10 minute drive which is one of the best golf courses in Europe. There are other Golf courses including Duquesa golf which is a short walk.
For many years a regular destination for Spanish holidaymakers and knowledgeable overseas visitors, Manilva has recently enjoyed increasing popularity with foreign tourists looking for a change from Torremolinos, Fuengirola and Marbella.
Situated about half way between Marbella and Gibraltar, Manilva benefits from a privileged position at the western end of the Costa del Sol, where it enjoys a tranquillity which makes it a refuge from the hustle and bustle whilst still being in easy reach of the Coast's busier tourist centres.
Manilva is also excellently situated as a base from which to explore all that Andalucia has to offer, from its picturesque White Towns and Villages nestling in the region's mountains, to its historic cities such as Seville, Malaga, Granada and Cordoba. The municipality is also just a short hop across the Strait of Gibraltar from continental Africa, namely Ceuta and Morocco.
Manilva's landscape of sun, sea and 8 kms of unspoilt beaches, fringed by vineyards, verdant countryside and rolling hills is unique amongst its neighbours on the Costa del Sol and as such provides something for everyone, from those that enjoy relaxing on the beach to others that prefer exploring Andalucia's rich landscapes, flora and fauna.
Gibraltar is 20 minutes away which is definitely a trip you want to make .The WaterFront and Main Street (Tax Free Shopping) are the normal big attractions along with the Botanical Gardens and of course the Rock, home of the Apes which you can access using the amazing cable car trip. You could make use of the mini bus tours from the town to have a very good and informative guided tour of all the historic tunnels and fortifications. The views are amazing!!Dolphin watching trips leave from the Marina and when you return you will be spoilt for choice of somewhere to have a meal or drink.

The Andalucia region
Situated between Estepona and Sotogrande on the southern tip of the Costa De Sol.
The port of Duquesa with its lovely bars and restaurants is a 5 minute walk to the left of the apartment and the stunning blue flag beaches if San Luis de Sabinillas are a 5 minutes walk to the right. Gibraltar is a 20 minutes drive to the south and Marbella is a 25 minutes drive to the north . We are ideally situated for exploring the natural beauty of the region, Granada, Seville and Rhonda are all within driving distance for a lovely day out.
The area is renown for all the lovely fiestas and celebrations throughout the year.
There are local markets most days of the week which are accessible by either car or bus.

The title is an offering to the recent Villa Holiday we have had. Briefly...Our little boy is 4 and Autistic, so for the last few years we have taken to holidays with a short flight ,hence Spain and to Villas/Apartments for his continuity. We tend never to revisit an area though,life's to short. Those that are returning to Mrs Blythe's B&B in Blackpool for the 35th year must have their reasons? Or blinkers! But I am in contact with Jon Laker , owner, regarding next year. WHY? Well we feel,personally, we have struck gold! The villa is in Sabinillas/Puerto Duquesa area, which lies some 50 minutes from Malaga Airport. We usualally hire a car, but tranfers are cheap and public transport is good in the Sabinillas area. So NO a car's not a requirement. But it does help as aurrounding Sabinillas are an abundance of places to visit. Marbella, home of the rich,the nouveuve bankrupt and the beautiful! Or Puerto Banus a less in your face Marbella. Head the opposite direction for the unique island of Gibralter, mucho cheapo indeedo! Head north for the beautiful city of Seville, a pleasant enough drive at 2 hours.Or head to Tarifa and ferry across to Tangiers. So be adventurous and travel 3 countries and 2 continents all within easy reach. Can't be bad can it? Also there are stand alone attractions on the Costas, so even more to explore. THE VILLA: Well it's in a pleasant area within easy reach of any shops that you will require. A 10 minute stroll to the beach, which is of a gritty sand texture.The sea was clean and in June, warm enough to not have to tiptoe in! It's in a secure complex,as are most now in Spain and it offers numerous pools,tennis courts,underground parking. The Villa itself is ground floor with a large tiled patio overlooking a pool with outdoor dining,sofa and sunbeds and is both sunny and shady . It also has a small patio off of the kitchen. This has the bbq, washing machine and drying area. Both patios are secure and child friendly.All doors/windows have shutters and lockable gates.So you can go out and leave the doors open thus keeping the place cool, but still keeping your crown jewels safe! A nice size living area with TV/DVD sofas and an indoor dining table etc. Both the double and twin bedrooms are more than adequate and the master has its own en suite. The family bathroom is next to the twin room. The kitchen is excellent in size and equipment. Air con is on offer too. Though if you leave the doors wedged open a lovely breeze permeates, so you don't really need it. The lobby's big enough to store a Buggy and other bits. Storage,overall's, not an issue. The front entrance offers secure treble deadlocking and a videophone to answer the main gate should you order out for Pizza etc! Although the local Merecadona Supermarket offers a good range of fresh fish and meats. The Villa is clean,nicely laid out,homely,comfortable and really wants for nothing. WiFi is communal,though I got adequate signal from the patio to stream England losing! Obviously depends on the kit you're using, but it's free. We spotted the Villa on Ebay of all places.Someone said "be careful with Ebay and all that...." but I made enquiries,did a bit of background checking and can honestly state that the owners are stand up people. The Villa is incredibly good value.The location's good. Shop around for car hire and take out damage cover in the UK for £25 as opposed to £85 at the Car Hire desk! We flew BA for £435 inc 23kg luggage(that's all 3 of us). All in all I would rate the Villa 4 star. The location 4 Star. And the fact that it's the type of place where you can do as little or as much as you can fit in. That in itself's priceless. Many thanks to the Lakers, see you next year.

We stayed in this apartment for the first week of September. I booked it last minute and to be honest didn't expect too much. However the apartment is the nicest we have stayed in. The development is private and it appears to be a mix of permanent residents and holiday makers. The pools are very nice. We stayed in the town most days, visiting Gibraltar once though. The town and beech is close, the beech is very nice, real sand. We just chilled out most of the time. The Town has a wide range of Bars Spanish and foreign, we like Tapas and can recommend the bar opposite mercadona, the tapas were lovely no menu, just choose what you want from the display cabinet!

We're a family of four, with children aged 13 and 11 - luxury apartment and development - enjoyed our stay very much. Very peaceful and relaxing. This apartment is on ground floor from the front and has spacious private terrace/dining area overlooking pool (apt is on 1st floor at rear/ sun terrace). The complex comprises residential apartments in a gated community with four swimming pools each surrounded by trees. There are two paddle tennis courts onsite, free wifi (round each pool which reaches the terrace and lounge). There is also underground parking. Good location and distance for supermarket, shops, beach, and the restaurants on beach front/ marina. We did couple of trips to beautiful beaches of Tarifa - stunning!

"Perfect apartment and location. Will be going back again!"
I booked this apartment after looking online and made an enquiry. I received a prompt response from people who were happy to help and able to provide any information i wanted to know about the apartment, complex and the local area. I viewed the pictures online and coupled with the information received felt very comfortable booking. the directions were very helpful and i arrived with no problems at all. I walked into the apartment and could not have felt happier, it was exactly like the pictures. Really beautiful apartment, well decorated and maintained, perfect location by the pool and tennis courts. On an evening you can head into the marina for a beautiful meal out, gibralter and marbella are only a short drive away. The holiday can be whatever you want, if you want a relaxing location and to just sit by the pool you can, if you wish to explore the local area you are in the perfect location. you are within walking distance of the beach, waterfront bars and supermarkets. There is something for everyone here. I will be making a booking again for next year and will recommend to friends and family.
