About the home
GUNO holiday house is located in the village of Saint Lawrence and is set near the countryside which is ideal for those who wish to experience the Gozo beauty by walking to the countryside around. It is also easy of reach to the Azure Window, Blue Hole, Inland Sea, Fungus Rock and Dwejra tower, Ta' Dbiegi crafts village with souvenir shops plus snack bar, food shops and restaurants.
The main door of Guno leads you to a courtyard which got an iron spiral staircase which leads you to the spacious roof terrace which you can enjoy the countryside and village views. From the courtyard there is a door leading to the interior of the holiday house which is all set on the GROUND FLOOR level which got a kitchen, dining table and chairs and sitting area. At the interior living areas there are standing fans.
There are doors from the sitting area that opens to the swimming pool area, sunbathing area and built in barbecue area.
Also on the ground floor level there are the bedrooms which consists of:
1 Bedroom with 1 Double bed and with en suite shower, toilet, sink and washing machine. The double bedroom got a ceiling fan.
1 Bedroom with 2 Single beds. This bedroom got the bathroom at the hallway which consists of a bath with over bath shower, sink and toilet. The twin bedroom got a ceiling fan.

The Island of Gozo region
A completely unsophisticated island, Gozo is an ideal place for a quiet holiday and offers ample of activities such as walking, sightseeing, winetasting, sunbathing, swimming, snorkelling and diving into the blue seas. From its many flat topped hills the visitor looks down on fertile valleys and folklore villages.
The beauty of the unspoilt life goes on in this essentially farming and fishing island which is enchanting. As regards its history Gozo follows same pattern as its bigger sister island Malta - subject to the same conquests and the same vicissitudes. Also here the island of Gozo has much to offer to the tourist : places connected with events to the past, towers and fortifications, churches and chapels with its interesting history, traditions kept alive in the normal life of the people and .... and .... many legends and myths.
When nature comes in, the tourist can easily see that it has scattered its treasures with a very generous hand on the Isle of Calypso: enchanting landscapes and wonderful beauty spots, golden sands and rocky beaches, fascinating inlets and sheltered bays, hills and valleys which all help give the island personality of its own.
The Maltese Islands got an excellent climate with sunny hot weather throughout the long summer months.

Different bicycles daily rates applies depending if renting for just 1 day, 2 days, 3 days and over. Regarding motorcycles you can choose from 50c.c. and 125c.c which motorcycles can be delivered at holiday house and then collected from holiday house. The San Lawrenz area
The village of Saint Lawrence is next to the village of Gharb and is next to the most popular historical points to visit such as the Azure Window, Fungus Rock and the Inland Sea, Dwejra watch tower and Saint Ann Chapel. Plus in the village of Saint Lawrence there is the crafts village where you will find souvenir shops, pottery workshop, glass workshop, filligree workshop, local stone workshop, leather workshop, candles workshop, wrought iron work shop and leather workshop.
The Azure Window, Fungus Rock and the Inland Sea are great spots for sightseeing and for swimming which these 3 popular spots are especially enjoyed by diving in the deep blue sea to see the natural flora, the stunning caves, the chimney and the great quantity of different of fish . Boat trips are available at the Inland sea to visit the lovely surroundings.
On the Fungus Rock a medicinal plant grew only there and in the old times many people who had sick relatives crossed with a cable car to get the precious plant. As time gone by, the rock was then guarded day and night by the Knights and so no one could get near the Fungus Rock. There was a family who lived in the village of Gharb and one night, the father of the sick child went by his boat sailing from one point to another and then climbed the rock and got the medicinal plant for his son. He got back home with the Fungus plant for his son to get cured. He was very happy as he thought that the Knights didn’t see him but the day after the Knights came to his home and accused him of climbing the rock to get the plant so they arrested him for breaking their rules! Nowadays the Fungus Rock is enjoyed by many locals and tourists especially scuba divers diving around the rock.
From the village of Saint Lawrence you can walk through the paths of the countryside to enjoy lovely views of the sea, greenery of fields and most of all you will see the Ghajn Ghabdul spring which is named after a Turkish man who was on board a battleship at Dwejra Bay. In the dark night he escaped and began walking away from the shore. In the morning he was spotted by the local farmers and they reported to the battle ship as those onboard were looking for him and so they captured him and they chained him all alone in a field room. Ghabdul began digging for water with his chained hands day and night as he was very thirsty and luckily water began streaming were he drank and drank endlessly.

Malta Airport which is on the southern part of the island of Malta is approximately 1 hour and 20minutes drive to Malta harbour in the name of Cirkewwa which is on the northern part of Malta. The ferry crossings from the Island of MALTA to the Island of Gozo are very frequently operated in Winter and Summer months and takes around 25minutes of sailing between the 2 Islands.
Can organise you a self drive car to pick up from the arrivals hall at Malta airport which will provide you driving directions to follow from Malta airport to Malta harbour. When you arrive at Malta harbour please phone me to let me know which ferry time you are getting so that will meet you at the Gozo harbour and then after we meet you will drive with your car behind my car to the house.
Otherwise can organise you a taxi driver to meet you at Malta airport with a minibus which seats up to 9 persons to drive you from Malta airport to Malta harbour in the name of Cirkewwa then on board the ferry to Gozo, once on the Island of Gozothe taxi driver will drive you directly to the farmhouse. When arriving by taxi you will find the car at the house as per your request. Will meet you on your arrival at the house to give you the house key and show you around the house.

Fully equipped for what we needed. All furniture very good. Guno has been perfect for us. Maid service and pool maintenance all very good. Welcome food pack very good. Carmen was efficient and very friendly who helped us make our holiday a very happy one. Gozo is quiet, relaxed, friendly and got great restaurants : HUDSON & CAIE.
GUNO is very beautiful and comfortable house. Maid service and pool maintenance. Welcome pack was excellent. What we like about Gozo was Silence, Sea and Sun : ZAMBONIN.

GUNO is excellent as its like home from home! The maid service was good, quick and efficient. The pool maintenance was very good. The welcome food pack was great. Carmen was brilliant and amazing from the start of our holiday till the end of our holiday. We like the weather a lot but more importantly were the people on Gozo who made us feel welcome where ever we went. : BOAKES.
GUNO got excellent furnishings and equipment. The maids service is very good and efficient. The pool maintenance is excellent and very clean. Wonderful idea to provide a welcome food pack as got everything you need to start of your holiday. We will return because it was a very relaxing holiday and the house was quiet and peaceful.
