Sierra Vista is a two storey villa in a quiet, peaceful area of San Juan de los Terreros. It is fully air conditioned throughout and all rooms have ceiling fans also. Downstairs there are two twin bedrooms and a large family bathroom with bath/shower, w.c. and sink unit. Both twin bedrooms look onto the fields and mountains and have good sized fitted wardrobes. The kitchen is open plan with top quality kitchen units housing oven, hob, extractor fan, microwave, slimline dishwasher, fridge/freezer and washing machine. The kitchen comes fully equipped with kettle, toaster etc. everything you would need in a modern kitchen.
The good sized lounge is open plan and has a fully sprung sofa bed and two two seater sofas. There is satellite television with Sky and DVD player.
From the double patio doors in the lounge you walk onto the shady terrace overlooking the large private swimming pool. The garden is well established with mediterranean plants and several fruit trees. There is a modern BBQ for your use for dining al fresco. Also on the terrace is a large patio table with six chairs and a parasol with base. There are also sunbeds with comfy mattresses.
Upstairs there is a master bedroom with double bed and en suite shower room with twin washbasins in a double vanity unit and shower with square shower doors. From the bedroom onto the landing there is a door leading outside onto the large solarium with wonderful sea and mountain views. You can see the new Mundo Aguilon Golf course set in the mountains above Terreros and the new Terreros Golf course (which is due to be completed 2009) - please contact us for details and discounts on these courses.

The Costa de Almeria region


Costa Almeria is one of the driest and sunniest Costas in Spain with approimately 320 days of sunshine per year. Average temperatures during the Winter can hit 19 deg C. During the summer temperatures can soar to above 30 deg c and inland the temperatures can reach as high as 40 deg C!
You can see this by the arid and desert like landscape and the abundance of wild cacti! Take a trip to the Oasys cowboy film set and outdoor zoo which is well worth the visit for the whole family where you can watch the stuntmen perform a scene from a wild western film.! Just 20 minutes drive away is the Vera Waterpark where there is guaranteed fun for all the family!
The San Juan de los Terreros / Noravel area
San Juan de los Terreros is very charming and beautiful. It is an up and coming resort that is becoming very popular with holidaymakers from Spain and different nationalities enjoy coming here too! We have a new promenade with "chiringuitos" (beach bars) all along this gorgeous beachside walkway where you can stop and enjoy a traditional lunch of paella or a freshly caught plate of fish whilst sipping a cool glass of wine or beer and listening to the waves lapping against the beach.
Just in the mountains above Terreros is the new Mundo Aguilon golf course where you can play a challenging game amongst the mountain backdrop with wonderful sea views all around. Soon to open in Terreros is the new Terreros golf course and this course looks very exciting and stretches almost down to the seashore! If you need any information on Golf please contact us.

From the beginning we had great communication from Guardian Angels. We flew into Murcia. There were 7 of us so there wasn't a transfer available so we got rental cars - two small ones. Be careful with this as the company we went with charge a tank full of petrol on top of the hire charge regardless of how full it is when you pick it up. The price was well over the cost of actually filling up the tank. Took just over an hour to get to San Juan de Los Terreros and find the villa. It's on the hill above the town. We had sat nav so not hard to find but we also printed a map of the area and street names as its a bit of a rabbit warren, although we had no problem finding it. The town is small and has two supermarkets. There was some confusion about this the day we arrived was a festival and both the agent and the neighbour said nothing would be open this day or the next which was a holiday. Having young children we needed some supplies so we thought we would check anyway and stopped at the first supermacardo we saw - it was an everything shop with food. Ended up paying far too much for everything only to discovered not far up the road we found a bigger cheaper actual supermarket! Live and learn. In the next town there is a 'proper' supermarket in Aguilas which is quite a big town only 15min up the road. We shopped there twice in a week. On the way to Aguila there are several very good beaches. Definately take some shelter. We had a pack away beach shelter but you can buy umbrellas and mats for a few euros in the bigger supermarket in San Juan. In fact you can buy just about everything, masks and flippers, blow up pool floats, flipflops, crocs, fishing equipment, hats for a few euros. WHat was difficult to find was sun screen with a factor higher than 30. It's there but you have to look hard to find it. There were several umbrellas in the storage shed at the villa which we used as well. We took food with us as there was only one beach we went to with food. But all sold ice cream and drinks. The Villa was perfect for us. Our children could all swim 5-9yrs so there was no problem with the pool. Airconditioning was a blessing in the evening ensuring all had a good nights sleep. Quite well equiped kitchen for a holiday home. Beds were comfortable but the sofa bed was not so comfortable. Leather sofas seemed an interesting choice but we put towels on them for the kids. One of the bedroom doors stuck and one of the kids got locked and ended up taping the latch open so it didn't happen again - holiday time in spain apparently impossible to get anything repaired. Also happened on the other bedroom downstairs. The fridge seal did not seal so we had to put ice packs in it to keep everything cold. It probably used more power as well. Hopefully they will have replaced it by now. We drove to the promonade, there were several restaurants along this walk but the better ones are in the town itself. There was a big market on the Sunday in the carpark at the bottom of the road from the villa. There are also street sellers in the square at the beginning of the promonade. As it was a holiday there was a huge screen and speakers up in the square to watch the football. Amazing atmosphere. There is an Aquapark about 40 minutes south of the town. We spen the whole day till closing. A huge variety of slides for all ages, restaurants, snacks etc. They have lifeguard patrolling constantly with whistles picking out any dangerous behaviour. There were not many sunbeds (pay for these) so we found a spot on the grass under the trees for free. Despite a couple of niggles we would definately come back to this Villa and town again. There is lots to do and with the pool just outside its a blessing with children - someone comes every morning to clean the pool by the way. |
