A very well equipped and high spec villa. Inside the villa, which is air conditioned throughout, there is a modern and fully equipped kitchen with cooker, microwave, coffee maker and family sized fridge/freezer. The master bedroom with double bed has an en suite with shower, walk-in wardrobes, and patio doors to the rear garden overlooking the pool. The second bedroom has two single beds and fitted wardrobes and there is a separate family bathroom complete with bath and shower attachment, vanity unit and w.c.
The spacious living/dining room has a sofa bed to allow up to six people to stay at this property. The living room also has tv, along with DVD player and satellite(bring your own card from the UK and you get most of your own channels- we've tested this ourselves!!) Patio doors lead to the front terrace which overlooks a garden of orange and lemon trees, an idyllic location for breakfast! . We politely request no smoking inside the villa.
Outside the property is secured by wall and railings with off street parking. The garden has been landscaped with beautiful flowering plants and trees. The private pool (8 x 4m) with outside shower, is at the rear of the property which backs onto the hills giving an air of seclusion. Wide steps lead to the shallow end, the deep end is 1.9m deep. Steps at the side of the villa lead to the roof top solarium which allows fantastic views of San Juan de los Terreros and the sea to one side and the mountains to the other. (Ideal for tanning with a cold beer or enjoying the romantic sunsets over a glass of wine!)

Car hire strongly recommended -due to distance from airport - and to be able to enjoy the local areas. Taxis can be arranged dependant on arrival times.

Breakages deposit required of £200 - refunded following departure subject to satisfactory property inspection.
Well behaved dogs allowed.

Linen and towels are not provided in the villa but can be hired at a cost of 15 euros per person. You may of course wish to bring these yourself thus saving this cost. Electricity is read at the meter on arrival and paid for before you depart.

The National park of the 'Cabo de Gata' is a prime area for bird watchers and nature walks and is approx 1 hrs pleasant coastal drive.
If you have a special celebration we can recommend a night at "Hotel Family" a small family run hotel with great ambience and food to "die" for. Contact us for details.
The closest town is Aguilas, a proper Spanish town approx 10 minutes drive away. With a lovely plaza to sit and have coffee and just watch the world go by. Aguilas is a working town with a harbour, markets, fantastic food markets and tapas bars for that authentic Spanish experience. Also new is the Marina at the Juan Montiel complex.
Approx half an hour away by car is the town of Lorca, the nearest rail station, for those who want to travel further afield, trains connect through to Alicante, and further north through to Barcelona.
Small villages dot the coast road, with spectacular scenery and small restaurants which are just waiting to be sampled - lunch in Villaricos, dinner in Garrucha, the choice is yours.
Costa de Almeria enjoys approx. 300 days of sunshine per annum. The village of San Juan de los Terreros (or Terreros as it is locally known) is perfectly located being on the border of Almeria and Murcia. There are numerous small villages and towns to explore, including Aguilas, Lorca, Garrucha, Villaricos, Vera, Mojacar - all with different but equally excellent reasons to visit. The best way to explore is take a map and follow your nose.
Festivals run throughout the summer, both in Terreros and also further afield and local guides are available in the various restaurants etc within the area.
The San Juan de los Terreros / Noravel area
The village of San Juan de los Terreros has fantastic sandy beaches with a long palm tree strewn promenade which has recently been constructed. There are numerous bars and restaurants the whole length of the village and promenade, with supermarkets and shops situated on our side of the village.
San Juan de los Terreros and Almeria enjoy approx. 300 days of sunshine per annum. It is a calm and peaceful resort much favoured by Spanish families themselves, surely no higher recommendation with lots of different places to explore, in case you get too tired of lounging by the pool or beach.
There are festivals throughout the summer, just check with the locals. There is also a water park at Vera - approx 20 minutes drive away. A Wild Western themepark called Oasys is approx 1 hrs drive with a zoo and stunt show. Very easy to find.
There are numerous golf courses available - brochures are available within the villa.
Casa Alba is a well maintained villa and have everything you would need to make your holiday enjoyable.

San Juan de los Terreros is served by both Almeria and Murcia-(San Javier) airports both are approx 1 hrs drive away, Alicante 1hr 50mins. All are served by travel companies and budget carriers, from London, Manchester, Leeds-bradford, and Edinburgh.

This property is truly represented by the photographs and has lots of little extras that are not mentioned including beach umbrellas, cool box, outdoor/picnic equipment which meant that we were covered for whatever excursion or mood took us. The villa is in a very peaceful area with excellent views all around. It is clean and well maintained and is a short 10 to 15 minute walk to the middle of Terreros. Terreros itself is small with a select few bars and restaurants which provide an excellent service and some amazing food. The service can appear haphazard but that only added to the charm for us and the prices were an added bonus, being much less than we would have been willing to pay for such excellent, if simple, food. We would highly recommend the fish! Terreros is a very friendly place with stunning beaches and coves and very central for lots of other interesting places if you hire a car as we did. It has the feel of a place not yet hit by too much tourism. I hope it remains that way and doesn't lose any of it's lovely Mediterranean charm and personality. |
