The pool terrace has sumptuous 2m day beds for soaking up the sun + its own sound system.

The custom designed outdoor kitchen is fully equipped and fabulous whether throwing together a fresh salad or preparing a gourmet feast. The villa is situated in the beautiful + peaceful San Josep area of Ibiza. Minutes walk to beach/bars/shops/restaurants + only a short car ride from some of the best beaches/sunsets/restaurants on the Island. Only minutes drive to Ibiza town, the Airport and San Augustin. This beautiful house boasts first class infrastructure… No plugging in the hairdryer and tripping the fuse board here! The pool features underwater speakers of course! The stunning pool terrace also boasts a fabulous outdoor, fully fitted kitchen/dining/BBQ area/circular dining table with seating for 12. A wonderful play area for adults + children alike! “Big villa with great outdoor space but it doesn't quite live up to expectations” We booked Casa Vela for two weeks in August 2011 and we were looking forward to enjoying a hassle-free holiday in a well-appointed villa. We were a fairly large group of friends with young children. Unfortunately, the villa and the service failed to meet our expectations and ultimately we were left disappointed. We didn't get off to a great start when on our arrival, the supermarket shopping we had pre-ordered had not been delivered and the cupboards were bare! However, we found the villa to be well laid out for sharing with friends and family. The bedrooms are spread out and most have en-suite bathrooms so there is a real sense of space and we never felt like we were on top of one another. Unfortunately, the property is quite tired and is not really as advertised. For example, although the bedrooms are advertised as having “flat screens, DVD, surround sound, and SKY TV”, that's not really the case. Most of the bedrooms do not actually have satellite TV - only the master bedroom (and the living room) have reception. In fact there is only one SKY box which is located in the living room so the master bedroom and living room have to watch the same channel at any given time. Also, many of the TVs / DVDs are very small and old (definitely not flat screens!) – for example we were unable to fast-forward / rewind DVDs and of course could not watch TV on them as they didn't have reception. Also, the wi-fi didn't work for most of our stay. Like the rest of the house, the outdoor kitchen is quite tired and could do with some maintenance. For example, matches or a lighter were required to light the hob, unfortunately none were initially provided, and the outside dishwasher failed to work for the duration of our stay despite numerous attempts to fix it. The villa is set on a fair sized plot so the kids had plenty of space to run and play. It's also reasonably well located, a few minutes drive to the supermarket and a short car ride (or hot walk) to a local beach with a few restaurants. The electric gates ensure the property is secure and private. We were provided with two remote controls for the electric gates but unfortunately only one worked so we had to carefully coordinate our comings and goings to ensure any members of our party weren't locked in / out of the property. Another problem we had was that it became apparent fairly quickly that the caretakers store their supplies (towels, bedlinen etc) for this and the other properties they look after, in the garage. So there was a fairly regular stream of cars and people calling in to the property to collect items. Not particularly private and not what we had bargained for! Finally, our security deposit was not automatically returned to us after our holiday and the onus was apparently on us to check and chase. After a couple of months I realised we hadn't had the security deposit refunded and it took several calls and emails to finally get this returned to us. All in all, we are very disappointed. We feel the villa did not provide value for money and we won't be returning.

Having only booked the villa at the last minute to celebrate my 40th with friends. I wondered whether I would get 1, a good deal or 2, a great Villa. . I was not disappointed on either count.

The Villa is even better than its description. All rooms were neat, tidy and decorated to a high standard. The pool and outside kitchen/dining area were way beyond our expectations and the photos do not do it justice. .

A short walk to the nearest bars, restaurant and shops - Taxis are easy to grab and charge only 12Euros to San Antonio.

The team at Global Escapades were excellent throughout - Thoughtful, attentive but not intrusive.

All my guests loved it - Quote of the holiday. . 'I will never stay anywhere else again'

This has been our second stay at Casa Vela and it gets better every time! We picked up our jeep that was left at Ibiza airport car park and as soon as we hit the road we were home, after a beautiful 20 minute sunset drive to the villa we were met by our lovely hosts – the team are amazing, so welcoming, down to earth and accommodating. There’ a bottle of bubbly on ice and a huge hamper of Spanish food to settle you in immediately, so there is no need to worry about going to the shops or out to dinner when you arrive, indeed the only thing to do is get your swimmers on and sink into the beautifully warm pool.
Everything is in place here, and if your tastes go beyond, satisfaction is only a phone call away. No request will ever go unanswered. The space is amazing, furnished with a lot of thought and heart and truly dedicated to maximum relaxation. From the day beds around the pool to the outside kitchen and dining to the poolside IPod sound system that transports your whole music collection to Ibiza – it’s all wonderfall!!!! Stay once and you’ll be hooked! A little slice of paradise right here on earth. Fantastic!

I just wanted to thank you for the help you gave us while we were staying with you. My husband and I got sick after going out to dinner with friends. The doctor you sent to the house was very kind and very thorough. More importantly we felt like death for 24 hours and you and your staff really saved the day. The lady you sent to look after the kids was great. She looked after them wonderfully, entertained and fed them and they are still asking when they are going to see their friend Hannah again. As for us we soon fully recovered and were able to enjoy the rest of our holiday. Thanks so much Michelle, Charlie, Wills and George xxx

Sorry to have taken so long to contact you following our stay at Casa Vela.
We were delighted with the villa, it exceeded our expectations, and the website undersells it. The property suited our needs perfectly, 12 of us, 3 generations of the same family. Because of the ideal layout we all could have our own space and privacy if we wanted. The indoor Kitchen, so well equipped, was perfect. The spotlessly clean pool furniture and pool itself were most impressive. This is no ordinary villa with and everything in it of the highest quality. The situation of the villa was almost perfect as not only could we walk to the village to eat in the evening if we wished but it was not far away from a large supermarket where we could stock up with Vino and food!
At first, I must admit we had our reservations in dealing with the owners direct as in this day in age one is reluctant to hand money over to complete stranger having seen just a pretty picture of a villa on the internet but with denni’s help our fears were soon dispelled & we could not have had better service.
I cannot thank you enough for all your help (and phone calls Denni) & for what turned out to be a fantastic holiday in a superb villa.
