Home description
The apartment is on the edge of a community overlooking agricultural land so it is very peaceful. It has its own private terrace with table & chairs for eating al-fresco & a private garden with sun-loungers which gets full sun most of the year. There is also a community pool. It is attached to a spanish village called San Cayetano which has a small supermarket, bakery, pharmacy, bank and a a few bars some of which do food. Within five - ten minutes drive you can reach Murcia airport, numerous beaches, restaurants, golf courses and shops. The nearest city Cartagena is twenty minutes drive away.

The Costa Calida/Murcia region
Costa Calida translated means warm coast. It gets 320 days of sunshine a year. The local beaches which stretch for 7 kilometres and have been given 4 EC blue flags are all on the Mar Menor which is a big saltwater lagoon separated from the Mediterranean and in which the water temperature can reach 30 degrees in the summer. It is shallow for quite a way out with gentle waves so it is safe for children and watersports. There are sandy beaches on the Mediterranean within a 10-15 minute drive.The cultural cities of Cartagena and Murcia are within 20-30 minutes drive.
San Javier Mar Menor area
The area is partly protected land so it is not too built up. There are quiet areas for walkers as well as commercial shopping centres nearby. There is also Terra Natura within 30 minutes drive which is an animal park where some of the profits go towards animal protection. It also has a water park attached to it. There are 20 golf courses all within 10 - 30 minutes drive. There are numerous golf courses in the area including Polaris Worlds 'La Torre' and Roda Resorts PGA designed course which are both less than 10 minutes drive away. A bit further afield are La Manga Club and Villamartin which are both within 20 minutes drive.
How to get there
Our apartment is less than ten minutes drive from Murcia airport and very easy to find.
You could also fly into Alicante which is about fifty minutes drive.
The most popular airlines for getting to Murcia are Monarch,Easyjet,Ryanair,BMI and Jet2. The car hire company we use is www.economycarhire.com whose prices start at £65 a week off season.
We can also arrange an airport pick up/drop off at very reasonable prices if you don't wish to drive.

Further details indoors: The apartment has been furnished as our second home and is therefore very comfortable. We provide all bedlinen and towels except beach towels. There is also a hairdryer, iron and ironing board for your use. The satellite TV channels include UK channel package, sports and movies. We also provide a selection of books, games, CDs & DVDs for your use.
Further details outdoors: The apartment has a terrace with table and chairs for eating al-fresco. It also has a private lower garden area with sun loungers which gets full sun in the afternoon and evening and is safe for children as it has an electronic gate. There is a small community pool. Our main leisure area is in the process of being built. It will include a large pool which will have a sliding roof for all year round use, a childfen's pool, tennis courts & a golf driving range. We have been told that the pool will be completed by the beginning of summer 2010 and the rest of the facilities by the end of 2010.The traditional spanish village we are attached to has a small supermarket, bakery, pharmacy, bank and a few bars some of which serve food.

We can arrange a welcome pack or hire of baby equipment. You will be met by our neighbour who looks after the property and gives you personal attention if you require help or advice. We are flexible on times of arrival and departure to fit in with your flights and take bookings from any day of the week for anything from a three night stay up to a four month stay. Smoking is allowed on the terrace.
Conditions
Deposit of £50 required to confirm the booking which we will retain if you cancel with less than eight weeks notice. Full payment required six weeks before commencement of holiday. The original £50 will be kept as a damages deposit and returned within two weeks of your return home.
