In our historic carefully restored 500 year old home 'Villa Pallero', we have integrated five exclusive self contained apartments and cottages, each individually decorated and appointed with all comforts, offering a very special ambiente ideal for every season. An emphasis to detail adds to create an atmosphere of a being a guest in a private country home.

The Tuscany region
Villa Pallero is ideally located to enjoy one of Italy's most famous regions. The landscape is iconic with rolling plains lined with cypressa trees and undulating countryside. Fields of poppies in the late Spring give way to Sunflowers through the Summer and the stunning colours of Autumn as the vines change colour to herald the ripening of their burgeoning fruit.
For culture you can choose from day trips to nearby famous cities of Siena, Florence and Pisa. For pageant, local food festivals, Musical concerts, wine tastings etc, visit any number of the surronding towns such as San Gimignano, Volterra, Cole Val D'elsa, Montipoluciano etc
This is one of the best regions of Italy for climate too with glorious sunshine and a welcome breeze; not as arid and dry as the south and certainly more temperate than the north.
San Gimignano area
The neares main town is the famous walled medeival city of San Gimignano; 8 minute drive.
There are no cars permitted in San Gimignano which allows visitors to relax and marvel at the untouched architecture that make it like being on a film set. Remember "Tea with Mussolini" ? The famous film shot here with Judi Dench et all about saving the world famous frescoes during the war. There are many treasures in this atmospheric city that welcomes over 10million visitors per year. Known as the Manhatten of Italy, San Gim boasts the best icecream parlour in Italy too.
There are numerous restaurants in and around San Gimignano and always Festivals and Pageants to add a real excitement to the town and a bustling market once a week too.
Also well worth a visit is Volterra; just 30 minutes away by car and another medieval walled city with no vehicles. Here they are famous for their Etruscan heritage and world famous Alabaster that is mined all around.
How to get there
All leading low cost carriers fly on a regular and daily basis to Pisa airport; Easy Jet, Ryan Air, Jet2 etc. We recommend Europecar who provide a good service and you collect and return to the airport.

Further details indoors: Each apartment//cottage is individually furnished and has many classically Tuscan features; beamed ceilings, terracotta tiled floors etc. Loads of character. Wonderful views of the surrounding countryside and gardens. Comfortable beds with luxurious sheets and duvets. Each property is very private and has its own terrace or loggia and the majority also have log fires for out of season lets.
Further details outdoors: Pallero has beautiful, colourful grounds and gardens to relax in and numerous private areas to enjoy the views from. Bedchairs in abundance in all the best spots whether you crave sun or shade. BBQ areas too and for the winter; a covered Winter garden with open fire.
Opulent Roman Style indoor, heated swimming pool with jacuzzi built in that opens out onto the lawns. Sauna, Solarium and Fitness Suite.

Well behaved dogs are welcome, but sorry, not cats; we already have one called Rusty (used to dogs) 40% of the booking fee is required upon booking and the balance is due one month prior; non refundable Parents with Children are requested to respect the tranquil nature of Pallero
