About the home

Tameriggio is a beautiful detached villa converted from a lovely, old hay store situated in the Chianti hills half way (35 km) between Florence and Siena.

In the well kept garden there is an inviting swimming pool (8 x 5 m) available from May to October for exclusive use opening onto a magnificent panorama over the Chianti wine yards and the close ancient town of Certaldo.

The interiors are cosy, furnished with love for details in the typical Tuscan style and provided with all modern comforts including internet access (free of charge).

Ideally situated for visiting the most renowned historical and art centres in Tuscany as well as many other smaller characteristic villages in the Chianti region, and within easy reach of the Siena - Florence toll free motorway.

The villa is reached by a secondary road connecting San Gimignano and Certaldo.

Conditions

In case of cancellation of a booking must be paid the following penalties: 30% of the total rental price if the cancellation is made 45 days or more before the start of the rental period; 50% of the total rental price if the cancellation is made between 44 and 30 days before the start of the rental period; 90% of the total rental price if the cancellation is made between 29 and 1 day before the start of the rental period; 100% of the total rental price if the cancellation is made on the arrival day or in case of no show.

San Gimignano rises on a hill (334m high) dominating the Elsa Valley with its towers. The town increased in wealth and developed greatly during the Middle Ages thanks to the "Via Francigena" the trading and pilgrim's route that crossed it. Such prosperity lead to the flourishing of works of art to adorn the churches and monasteries. The construction of the towers dates back to the 11th and 13th centuries.

In the close town of Certaldo (2 km) guest can find all kinds of facilities including tennis, horse-riding, train station and bus service to Florence, Siena and other area destinations.
