About the home

On the idyllic green island of SAMOS a short walk from the harbor and Vathi town center, you will find the family beach of RODITSES (Pomegranates).
The beautiful white 3 stories beach front villa has 1 two bedrooms garden apartment and a Studio on the beach level, look out onto the small jetty, boasting fabulous views of the picturesque town of old Vathi and the crystal clear turquoise water of the bay.
Enjoy the island's life off our little jetty where traditional boats moored or stroll into town to experience the islands laid back hospitality.
The two bedroom apartment and the Studio are decorated with flair and island sensibility, complimented by the owners collection of colonial artifacts from their long stay in South Africa.

On the beach level ,the 2 bedroom garden apartment has two main bedrooms with double antic metal beds and two bathrooms with en-suite (showers and w c) .In the open plan lounge dining area 2 single build-in beds, doubles as day beds open up onto the garden overlooking the sea.(Accommodates max 6)
Fully equipped modern open plan kitchen ,a big metal table with granite top and 8 chairs open up onto the traditional rose garden, for enjoyable dine alfresco.
In the covered patio, relax on cane modern comfortable lunge suite
All bathrooms are delightfully appointed with showers and w c.
Adjacent to the 2 bedroom apartment is the Studio with a double metal antic bed, an en-suite granite bathroom
( shower & wc) , fully equipped kitchenette and a double sleeping couch. (accommodates max 4)
The 2 apartments are connected with a door, which is only open when the entire ground floor is rented to a group of 10 persons.

Further details outdoors:
On the beach level there is the shared traditional rose garden with a huge umbrella and sun loungers for your use and your relaxation after your swimming, in your private courtyard among colorful bougainvilleas.
There is a BBQ for common use of all tenants.
Restaurants & Bars : The Roditses waterfront has several Tavernas & Bars with superb dining.
Food & Beverage: A short 10 min walk to the neoclassical Samos town center, where lovely shopping district along cobbled streets, a fruit & vegetables market, the Archaeological museum, Municipal gardens and several super markets for greater shopping variety.
In the other direction a short 5 min walk to Gangou beach with laid back bars and local restaurants.

The housekeeping box of candles,matches paraffin is replenished for the next person's stay.
-Garden is shared by the owners & other tenants of the villa

-Swimming towels are not providing . Please bring your own.
-Please do not use the apartment's towels for the beach.

-We require a deposit of 25 % of the total amount payable,so as to secure your booking.
-The balance is payable 10 weeks prior to arrival.
-Refundable breakages deposit for ...Euro required on arrival,to be refunded with a week of your departure (subject to satisfactory property inspection)

The Aegean Islands region

Samos the Greek island in the eastern Aegean sea, just off the coast of Asia Minor, is exceptionally beautiful,with verdant mountains, sandy and pebbled beaches, clear blue sea and fertile plains. Here the muscatel grapes, from which the famous muscatel wine is made are cultivated. The civilization of the island, the birthplace of Pythagoras, the great philosopher and mathematician, as well as Aristarchos the Astronomer, reached its zenith in the 6th century B.C., when under the rule of the Tyrant Polycrates many public works(the aqueduct,outstanding harbour, temple) were built.

Today, many of these monuments, the sanctuary of Hera, Efpalinion Tunnel, remains of the Great Wall and others may be visited. In addition to the archaeological museums in Samos town and Pythagorio and the Paleontological Museum in Mitilini, monasteries like Spiliani, Megali Panagia and the Holly Cross are also open to visitors. All of these in addition to the warm, comfortable climate and traditional Samian hospitality, will ensure that you have an unforgettable holiday that you will soon want to repeat.

- Have a cold cafe (frappe) at the Municipal Gardens in front of the Neoclassical Municipality building.While there, take the opportunity to visit the Archeological Museum next door, where the largest Kouros statue known to man is housed.
- Visit the Wine Museum at the Malagari commercial harbour and follow the history of Samian wine over the last three millennium.
- If you visit Samos during the Wine Festival, you will get to enjoy free Samian wine and eat Souvlaki while you become familiar with modern Greek music and famous singers performing at the seaside.

Car Hire: It is not essential as there is a well developed public transport system from Samos town to all beaches. But a car or a moped will enable you to explore the island more thoroughly, visit beaches such as Tsamadou & Kokari, the spectacular mountainous village of Manolates and the traditional village of Mitilini with the Paleological museum and the delightful open air cinema , monasteries and the island's verdant forests .
