About this location

The Gwynedd region

Rolling country side with iron age fort toped mountains doted around. Ancient pilgrim routes to Bardsey island. The region is sparcely populated with communities collecting in villages. The locals all speak welsh and are the most welcoming of people and will want to know your family history and who you know. It's a welsh thing :-)

Sam Bach

Area of outstanding natural beauty. Coastal footpaths lead to lonely beaches. Hells mouth for surfing on the doorstep. Bardsey island just a boat ride away

"Brilliant place to get away from it all."

A very special place in a beautiful rural location. The cottage is extremely well appointed - a little home from home. The hot tub is a bonus and the vistas are superb. Loved it!

"Beautiful Honeymoon"

We went for our honeymoon and it was absolutely perfect. The owners are lovely and very friendly. They have 2 dogs who were very gentle and enjoyed any attention they were given.
It is a very quiet and secluded location, while there was still a supermarket and a couple of towns within a not too far driving distance, so if you like peace this would be the cottage for you.
The cottage itself is small, but plenty big enough for 2. It's nice and cosy, and while the furnishings aren't posh they're comfortable and very homely. The kitchen was very good as well, with every pot, pan and utensil you can think of to make anything, even baking equipment! The bed was comfortable and just right, I managed to sleep very well which I very rarely do in a strange bed. A very well thought out and attended cottage.
We were situated well to spend relaxing days wandering around the towns, going for walks and also doing some of the adventure activities in the area. At the end of the day we had the hot tub to go back to which was very welcome, especially after we went coasteering!
I would definitely recommend this as a place to stay and will be staying there again hopefully in the near future. We couldn't have asked for a better honeymoon!
