The Saltburn-by-the-Sea / Loftus area
With its cobbled streets and back alleys, the charming and sleepy seaside village of Staithes is something of an artist's dream. With pretty houses and cottages clustered around the old harbour, the village is surrounded by high craggy cliffs and a sheltered sandy beach. This settlement has ties to Captain Cook, who was apparently apprenticed to a draper near the harbour. Nowadays there is a good selection of pubs, shops and tea rooms for visitors to the Yorkshire Coast. The Cleveland Way runs down the cliffside to the sea's edge, passing through the town and providing the best views in the local area. With Whitby, Scarborough and the rest of the Yorkshire Coast so close by, this makes an excellent base for visitors looking for a traditional seaside holiday.

The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday.
"Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.
