The North York Moors National Park lies just inland from the North Yorkshire coastal resorts of Whitby and Scarborough and has 1,400 miles of trails, footpaths and bridleways, surrounded by heather clad rolling moor land dotted with pretty rural villages and historic country towns. Carving a pathway deep through the North York Moors is the famous North Yorkshire Moors steam railway, which carries passengers from Pickering in the south, north to Grosmont and then along the lovely Esk Valley to Whitby on the coast. This area handy for those who want to experience the many aspects that Yorkshire has to offer with easy access to both the Yorkshire Coast and Yorkshire Dales

It is positioned in a perfect central location to enjoy the many events dotted around the North York Moors National Park areas and also the stunning coastal resorts of Saltburn, Staithes and Whitby which are all within easy reach. There are numerous walks and cycle tracks direct from the property including the spectacular Cleveland Way, where you can walk along the cliff tops whilst enjoying some stunning scenery and you will soon arrive at the quaint fishing village of Staithes, renowned for its fossil hunting and fishing. A visit to Staithes is like stepping back in time as it is untouched with the hustle and bustle of modern life. You can enjoy a stroll along the cobbled streets where you can visit traditional pubs, tearooms and quaint shops, The pretty coastal resorts of Runswick Bay and Sandsend are also situated further along the Cleveland Way and are both well worth a visit. Travelling further still you will arrive at the famous fishing port of Whitby where you must stop and sample the best Fish and Chips around. The beautiful Victorian resort of Saltburn is only six miles away in the opposite direction with its own cliff lift dating back to 1884 and famous pier which is the most Northerly surviving British pier and Smugglers Heritage Centre not far from the lovely promenade is perfect for a leisurely stroll on a fine evening.

"Excellent property will definitely go back again."

A great holiday bungalow with everything you could possibly need. The owners Jane & Brian gave us a very warm welcome and a superb welcome pack awaited us. Nothing was too much trouble for Brian he went out of his way to be helpful. The property is first class a delight to stay in.
