About the home

The villa is new, modern, spacious, fully equipped and in the lovely residential area of Vilafortuny.... just a few minutes from Salou & Cambrils.
The Port Aventura Theme park is only 15 minutes away as well as the Costa Caribe Water park and the Aquopolis Dolphin & Water park.

The Villa has a stylish design and it centres around the enclosed private garden with private pool & jacuzzi. Both the lounge and the kitchen opens up to the porch... an ideal place to relax with a chilled glass of wine in comfortable loungers and beautiful settings.

The villa has 4 double bedrooms and an office with 2 single beds in it. The bedrooms are massive so it's fairly easy to place in extra beds if required. There are 2 complete bathrooms and a WC with a sink for extra convenience.
There are some stairs leading from the living room to the basement, play rooms and garage.

Universal Studios is only a 15 minute drive or you can take the road trains and buses from the Cambrils promenade which is about a 20 minute walk away. A car is advisable. Salou is only a few minutes away and the old Roman town of Tarragona is 15/20 minutes away with its stunning cathedral and Roman ruins. Barcelona is easily accessible by road or rail and average travelling time is less than one hour. For those wishing to see rural Spain, there are very many interesting villages within a short drive depicting the true Spain, steeped in history.

The Costa Dorada/Tarragona region

The Costa Dorada, or golden coast, offers miles of wonderful golden sands, washed by the crystal clear blue Mediterranean Sea. Costa Dorada has a long stretch of coast, interspersed with sandy beaches and pretty coves. The resorts have a traditional seaside atmosphere and are excellent for families, especially since the recent addition of the Universal Mediterranean theme park resort. There is also an aquatic park at La Pineda.

Port Aventura Theme and Water Park takes approximately 7 km to the gate entrance. It is Europe's second largest adventure theme park and is owned by Universal Studio. The big ride is the Dragon Khan, with its 70mph first drop and eight inversions. The indoor / outdoor Costa Caribe, the Caribbean-themed water park, also has a beach area and is an ideal venue to cool off.
Aquopolis Water Park is nearby. It has one of the most modern dolphinariums in Europe. There is also Aqualand Safari and Water Park within easy reach.

Costa Dorada is also within easy reach of the ancient Roman city of Tarragona and the vibrant regional capital of Barcelona. Tourist attractions include Gaudi's Cathedral, the Picasso Museum, and Las Ramblas.The most important town of the region is Tarragona, capital of the providence of the same name. It was one of the most important cities of the Roman Empire, and you can walk along the ancient defence walls, visit the amphitheatre or explore underneath the Roman Circus.

If it's sun and sand you're after, head to Salou, a flashy, modern resort town, or nearby Cambrils, which is quieter and has managed to keep the feel of the fishing village it once was. A bit farther north, La Pineda is a family resort and also has nice beaches.

At the region's southern border is the Natural Park of the Ebro River Delta, where you'll find beautiful marine habitats where water fowl congregate. There are no big towns or much activity, and a visit to the area makes for a peaceful getaway from the glamour of resorts up the coast.

The Salou / Cambrils area

Take a walk along the promenade and enjoy the tranquillity and views of the beautiful Cambrils coastline. Cambrils beaches have beautiful golden sand and clear shallow seas which makes this beach very popular. Cambrils is aperfect fro both young peole and families and is a great beach holiday destination. The huge, sandy beaches are of course a huge factor in why people flock to accommodation in Cambrils, but the huge theme park, Port Aventura - Salou, seems to be the largest attraction for many, many miles, and the 8-loop Dragon Khan Rollercoaster can be seen from many of the top floor apartments in Salou itself.There are also 2 big Aquatic parks the "Costa Caribe" and "Aquopolis" just 7 km away from the house perfect to enjoy with the families.

“First class modern retro style villa, spacious,comfortable and enjoyable” The Villa was booked for a family of 8 ranging in all ages including a child of seven. It is of a modern retro design, spacious and excellent throughout with many artistic features and furnished to a high standard. Bed linen was good with spare pillows and coverings plus plenty of towels.The well designed kitchen with centre island opened onto a large decked patio with BBQ, the sliding glass doors extending the whole lenght of the back of the villa. The good size pool with its mobile suction cleaner kept the pool free of debris and the water slide from the roof was great fun. Our family enjoyed using the quality comfortable garden furniture and spent many enjoyable days and evenings on the terrace by the pool, The villa does not look attractive from the front and is protected by a high wall and security gates, but stepping inside has the "wow" factor when walking through the open plan design and viewing beyond the garden and pool through the glass doors. A car is needed as it is situated in a quiet residential area, however it is only a short drive to the supermarket, theme park, beach and only twenty minutes from the airport. The whole family enjoyed their stay, booking the villa was very smooth and every help was offered, the service we received was excellent.
