"Highly recommended apartment in Salou"
I stayed at this apartment with my husband and 4 friends last June for 19 nights. The apartment was very clean when we arrived and the owner Frank and his wife arrived very promptly at the time we agreed. They are a lovely couple and they showed us round the apartment and made us feel welcome. The apartment is very secure as there is a steel gate which you need a key to access, then another to get into the building and then another to get into the apartment. The apartment is on the top/6th floor but there is a lift which worked the whole time we were there. The apartment is very big with 4 bedrooms so worked perfectly for us. The only thing missing in our opinion was a kettle but we bought a cheap one in town for the 10 days (maybe it's still there?!) The bathrooms were modern and clean but we did find the hot water ran out fairly quickly with 6 of us staying there, so we staggered our showers and took them quickly during the morning/evening which worked out fine. There is a very large roof terrace which you access from some stairs in the hallway. It's lovely for sunbathing and drying clothes up there (there's a clothes line) as it gets the sun most of the day. You can also get great views across Salou and can even see some of the roller coasters at Portaventura! For the price it was very very good value. The town centre/beach of Salou is about a 10-15 leisurely walk away but there a lots of shops and a very nice bar (free wifi) literally only a few mins walk away including a lovely bakery and quite a few small supermarkets to get groceries and other things needed on a self catering holiday as well as lots of restaurants and other shops like a pharmacy etc. A taxi from the main road near the apartment to Portaventura was approx €10. Salou train station is also about a 5-8 mins walk away and a few of us spent 1 night in Barcelona. The train worked out about €15 return which is very cheap compared to train prices in the UK. The pool is private for the apartment block but we never saw anyone else round the pool the few days we spent the day round the pool. The pool was clean but there are no sun loungers so you will need to lay on a towel on the grass or buy some lilos to lay on like some of us did. All in all I would recommend staying here for its location, facilities, standard of accommodation, vicinity to Portaventura and value for money. If I ever go back to Salou I would stay here again.

This apartment is well located within walking distance of the facilities of the main area of Salou. The owners Frank and his wife were helpful, flexible and very welcoming. I would recommend this apartment to people who want a comfortable holiday with easy access to the excellent restaurants and bars in Salou
