Further details indoors:
The key feature of this house is the spaciousness of it. Built over 3 floors with an inderground garage there is lots of room for everyone to enjoy their own space. The house is a town house , but opens on to an internal corridor which allows the property maximum peace and quiet.
There is no street noise to be heard, and the internal corridor is laid out with plants and is tiled tastefully. The proximity of the house to the village of Lobres, as well as easy driving distance to Salobrena, Motril and the beach make it so accessible for everything the holiday maker could possibly want.
Further details outdoors:
The urbanisation of Lobres is fresh and clean. The houses are done in the traditional Spanish White and are very well maintained by the community. The area immediately outside the Terrasas, is laid in neat tiles, and there are footpaths from there to the village close by. Fruit and flower trees are plentiful and the whole place is bright, clean and very pleasantly laid out. Lobres is an old and typical Spanish village. There is parking available on the street outside the houses though Casa Clare has a garage which is an added bonus. A local bus stops nearby. The bread van comes round every morning between 9.30 and 10.00.a.m. so getting your fresh bread is simple.

The Costa Tropical region

The Costa Tropical is one of the most beautiful areas of Spain. truly authentic Spanish, it is an area for everyone. the coast is 5-10 minutes by car where children and adults can enjoy the seaside , with wonderful paseos to walk along. The climate is sub tropical and has sunshine for most of the year. This is an area of horticulture and the area abounds with fields of oranges, lemons, olives, almonds, not to mention the more exotice fruits like chiramoyas, guava, cacci, mangoes , figs and bananas.
Fish is plentiful here and the variety is excellent. Evenings are very important in this part of Spain and you can go out and sit in the many plazas where children play and adults sit and chat in the pleasant evening sun. During the week many bars and restaurants offer a "Menu Del Dia" This is lunch at best possible prices and usually offers a range of starters, main courses and desserts for a fixed price. Check when you go to a bar or restaurant for this, as it is well worth while.
The Spanish eat their main meal in the early afternoon so the "Menu" is frequently available. However it is not available at weekends. Spanish often go out for Sunday lunch with the extended family so booking is advisable, though the beach restaurants use a "first come ,first served" approach.
The Salobrena area
The old Moorish castle at Salobrena is very worth a visit. Apart from the castle itself, the views of teh town and surrounding area are spectacular from the castle. Motril is an old Spanish town , which has an excellent variety of shops , bars and restaurants. The Tapas bars here are very good and if you go to have a drink in the evening in Motril you often get a free tapa with it. The "Dispensa" on Avenida De Salobrena in Motril is well worth a visit.
If you fancy a lovely setting and a good meal go to the beach road in Salobrena. there are many chiringuitos here(beach restaurants) so you can enjoy your meal right on the beach . Sunset here is wonderful so well worth a trip to have an early evening drink as you watch the sun go down.
A trip to Granada is a must, not least because here is the world famous Alhambra Palace. It really is fantastic and shows off the incredible Moorish architecture and detail in the building. A word of advice,. Don't attempt to do it all at once. Go to the Generaliffe, (The gardens) and the Palacio Nazari. If you see those you will be delighted and tired.!!
After the visit go down the hill to the Alhambra Palace hotel. This is a delightful hotel and nearly as pretty as the Alhambra. Go out to the terrace and have a drink there as you sit and view Granada. The city of Granada has much to offer, Moorish baths,(hamann) , shops, restaurants, the famous gypsy quarter, a great cathedral to mention a few.

Granada Airport is closest , though both Malaga and Almeria serve the area too.
Spanish airlines fly into Granada, and many airlines, including Easy Jet fly into Malaga and Almeria.
There are many car hire companies at the airports, though I recommend Orion Rent a car for good service and a flexible approach, should anything go wrong. They wont rip you off and meet you at the airport , for a speedy getaway. Likewise on return someone meets you and your departure is easy.
