The unique design of the house and gardens offers complete seclusion from other properties. The unassuming roadside wrought iron gate gives little away, but the steps leading down to the Villa announce that this is rather special and unique property. La Almendra Roja offers high standards of carefully planned comfort. Lots of little personal touches are liberally sprinkled throughout the house and it's enveloped in an ambiance of chic summer living both inside and out. Whithin the house large picture windows create a wonderful sense of light and space and there is an eclectic mix of neutral décor and beautiful hand crafted furniture with splashes of vibrant Asian colour. Large wooden doors open in to the spacious sitting room where big comfortable sofas and antique Indonesian furniture let you know that this is a home and not just a rental house. The small but fully fitted kitchen opens ontho the dining room so that the Chef Cook can still join in on conversations. Each of the two bedrooms has hand crafted huge kingsize beds with beautiful Asian throws to add a splash of coulor. Every room offers fabulous views of the Sierra Nevada mountain range and the cool waters of the Mediterranean below. It's easy to slip into the Andalucian way of live and dine outdoors. Indulge in delicious breakfasts under the veranda and enjoy the cool evening breeze as you sip a glass of chilled wine and gaze out to sea from the beautifully furnished terrace. The main porch is scattered with terracotta pots and stylish furniture and is a wonderful place to sit, read, relax and dream. A lush green lawn encompasses the wonderful swimming pool and the garden is dotted with exotic blooms and palms. The coastal resort of Salobreña is just a 10 minutes drive a way where guests can find a selection of shops, bars and beachside restaurants. On balmy summers evenings the lights from the old town of Salobreña and its morish castle will twinkle in the distance as you enjoy al fresco dining on the iluminated poolside terrace. La Almendra Roja is stylish, chic and is a wonderful setting for a truly relaxing chilled out Andalucian holiday. No children under the age of 12 years old are permitted at La Almendra Roja. Steps leading down to the Villa are not suitable for disabled guests.

Salobrena / Monte de Los Almendros area
Salobreña is a typically Andalucian village.... Its setting is exceptional and can be seen from the villa with its morish castle iluminated every night. The village has a charming withe washed old part situated on top of a rock with superb views over the Mediterranean Sea, the sugar cane plantations and the white pics of Sierra Nevada. If you visit in the winter, the skiing resort is at 1 hour drive. So in the same day you can enjoy skiing in Sierra Nevada and enjoy a cool glass of wine on the beach front in the afternoon. The nearest beach is at 5 minutes drive. There are numerous coves & beaches dotted all along the Costa Tropical. The Almendra Roja is located in a private urbanisation which also offers communal swimming pools & tennis court (walking distance from the villa)
