This spacious ground floor apartment has three bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and a very large and safe balcony, which has has a covered eating area, a large sun terrace and a separate barbeque area.
The apartment has been furnished to a high standard and is fully air conditioned. It has a fully equipped kitchen, modern luxury furniture and flat screen TV with DVD. It's south facing location allows for afternoon and evening sun.
The apartment also benefits from a private pool and a health spa which includes a sauna, jacuzzi and a indoor pool
Located within an easy and short walking distance to the beach and the golf course the apartment provides an excellent base for a family holiday.
The resort has the Serra Nerada mountains as the backdrop, is very popular with Spanish holiday makers and will appeal to anyone wanting a quite beachside family holiday, to play a little golf and to explore an area with a typical Spanish feel.
Tourisium has yet to really hit this area and the appeal to us when buying the apartment was that it was not like the other over commercialised areas of Spain. You will not find all day English breakfasts being served but instead an area that is very popluar with the Spanish holiday maker, where free tapas is served and an easy going way of life is the order of the day. The resort is quiet but does have a small shop and bar close by. Whilst it is not really suitable for teenagers looking for an energetic night out, we have three children under 10 and they love having the beach so close, the pool and everything else the area has to offer.

The Costa Tropical/Granada region
This is an excellent base to explore this interesting, exciting and as yet unspoilt area of Spain.
The Costa Tropical of Granada is sheltered by the mountains of Sierra Nevada and so benefits from it's own micro climate and enjoys all year round sunshine. Temperatures in winter remain pleasantly warm and during the summer the days are long and hot.
The historic and culturally rich city of Granada, with the fabulous Alhambra Palace, is just a 45 minute drive - the Palace is absolutely stunning and is considered to be one of the 7 Wonders of the World - a visit here is a must. The city of Granada is fast becoming a popular City break and it maze old cobbled streets and interesting architecture makes it a great place to explore.
The family friendly ski resort of the Sierra Nevada is only a one hour drive away, with the resort open from December to April. Ski equipment and lessons if required are readily available, with a wide range of runs open to suit all abilities. The resort itself is very well served by hotels, apartments, restaurants, bars, and ski shops.
Salobrena / Playa Granada area
The area remains relatively unspoilt and with a lot less tourism than others areas in the Costa del Sol, it has a more traditional Spanish feel, and indeed comprises many Spanish owned holiday homes and weekend retreats.
Playa Granada is a new development built round a recently extended golf course. It is very close to Salobrena and Motril, and both of these are well served by all local amenities and large hypermarkets. Salobrena is an historic castle topped town surrounded by picturesque streets in it's old quarter, and with numerous restaurants and bars along it's extensive beach front. Motril is a more modern Spanish town, with it's large supermarket, designer shops, tapas bars and restaurants. Further along the coast are the nearby towns of Almunecar and Herradura, both very popular and well appointed tourist resorts. Nerja with its fantastic caves is just 35 minutes away.
The apartment is within the Los Moriscos Golf Club course itself and the 1st tee is a very short walk away. The clubhouse and restaurant is situated on the beach and we have spent many wonderful afternoons enjoying their hospitality whilst watching dolphins playing in the sea. A full driving range and practise facilities are available. The golf operates on a pay and play basis and provide the opportunity to play along side the beach on a number of holes. Green fees are cheap in relation to other golf in Spain but with the newly extended course the quality is high and the course represents an excellent challenge.
Playa Granada beach is well appointed and is a short walk away from apartment - in the summer it becomes very busy with Spanish holidays makers and this gives it a unique family feel. There is a small supermarket and a number of bars on the beach all within a short walk. Other good beaches are nearby at Salobrena, Almunecar and Herradura, and there are numerous coves tucked away all along the interesting coast line. Almunecar also has it's own water park, ideal for the family.
How to get there
Granada Airport is the best option having recently established International status and is an easy 50 minute drive away. The airport is small and so benefits from easy access, easy baggage collection and car hire. The airport is well served by Ryanair, who run a number of flights a day from Stansted, Liverpool and West Midlands Airport. Monarch also fly in from Gatwick.
Malaga Airport is a straight forward drive and takes about 1 hour and 10 minutes and is served by all major airlines and from all UK airports.
Almeria is the final option and is about 1 hour and 30 minutes away and is mainly served by Easyjet.
In terms of carhire - we always use www.carjet.co.uk. who are always the cheapest from where ever you are coming .

Further details indoors: The apartment is newly furnished to a high standard, with full air conditioning/central heating, polished terracota tiles and double glazed windows.
The lounge has 2 modern leather sofas and is equipped with a flat screen TV, DVD player and separate stereo system. It also comprises a six seating dining area.
The main bedroom opens onto the spacious patio and has its own marble finished en-suit bathroom and built in wardrobe space.
There are two other bedrooms, both with 2 single bed and built in wardrobes.
The separate kitchen has a large fridge freezer, four ring hob, oven, dishwasher and microwave. There is a breakfast bar with 2 stools and a separate utility room which houses the washing machine and extra sink.
Further details outdoors: There is an uncover terrace that leads from the living room which then opens out onto the main patio area which extends round to the side of the apartment. It is fully equipped with patio dining furniture, sun loungers and barbeque.
The apartment enjoys the exclusive use of two outdoor swimming pools, open from late May to September and two paddle tennis courts.
There is also a health spa which houses a small indoor pool, sauna, and jacuzzi. This opens out to a large general garden area, seating and sun terraces, all of which look over the golf course.
Further details
A non refundable deposit of 25% is required on confirmation and the balance payable 6 weeks prior to the start of the booking. Arefundable damages deposit of £150 is also required, and will be repaid once the property has been inspected at the end of the rental.
