This fabulous 3 bedrooms, 2 bathroomed Penthouse apartment provides a stylish base from which to explore the Costa Tropical of Granada. Next to Los Moriscos golf club and beach between Motril and Salobrena, it offers truly superior seaside accommodation on the sunny side of the apartment complex.the apartment is just 5 mins walk to the beach and local shops/ restaurants. The Andalucia region

Playa Granada is the sort of place that you could easily make yourself at home in for the length of your stay. At the same time, if exploring the area is more to your liking, you can rest assured that you are ideally located for any number of day trips. The fascinating Alpujarras villages are even closer to you than the beautiful, culturally rich city of Granada, home to the famous Alhambra Palace, last stand of the Moors.

Granada lies approximately 50 minutes from Playa Granada. In 30 mins you could find yourself in Nerja, a longtime favourite destination and home to some excellent restaurants, bars and places of interest such as the humble local church and the stunning Balcon de Europa. The area enjoys a microclimate, subtropical in character, a warm and gentle 18 degrees in winter and an average of 25 degrees in summer.


The penthouse is situated approx. 5 minutes by car from both Salobrena and Motril, where you will find everything from fresh markets and boot sales to large supermarkets with convenient parking. Guests have full access to the large well-maintained swimming pool on site open mid June to mid September and there is also a health spa with pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. A paddle tennis court is also available for residents. Swimmers and sun-worshippers preferring to paddle the surf and feel the sand under their toes are only a short stroll away from the beaches.

Salobrena is a charming castle-topped town with a delightful rabbit warren of picturesque streets in its old quarter. Motril is a bustling modern Spanish city with designer shops, great tapas bars, fine restaurants and a lively nightlife. Whether you are a large family or a group of friends, skiers, swimmers or golfers, we are confident that The Penthouse is a perfect backdrop for a relaxing, unforgettable holiday.

"A great Apartment"

A fantastic apartment with everything you need, loads of room for entertaining, this was our second visit, its a great location for Skiing in the Sierra Nevada at this time of year, we have also stayed in the summer for a relaxing holiday with friends, lots of places to visit with superb restaurants. Would definately recommend this location espacially if you like golf or skiing.

"Fantastic apartment with the most magnificant views of the sea."

I originally stayed in the apartment in May 2012 and loved everything about the apartment and the surrounding 'Spanish' area so much that me and my family decided to return in September. The apartment itself is very spacious and clean with every amenity you could wish for. I took my two month old baby boy out to Spain for his first holiday and the indoor swimming pool was great for him to find his water legs!! We spent a couple of nights on the roof terrace having a BBQ and taking in the fantasic views of the surrounding area. All the beaches along the coast are lovely with an authentic Spanish feel. The golf course is good and reasonably proced. I am in the process of booking up again for some winter sun in March!!!

"The purfect getaway"

Having lived in Spain for many years, we often have trips down to the coast and have used this property on a couple of occasions and will definitely return. It has the most amazing views of the sea and sunsets.
Unlike much of the coast of southern Spain this area has managed to retain it's "spanishness" which is warm and friendly.Non of your all day breakfast here. There are several good restaurants about if you take the trouble to find them. Rebertos being the closest and the best, but a short trip towards Motril you will find some wonderful Spanish restaurants with great food.
Salobrena itself is a lovely town with a great beach front. However head to Almunecar ( especially on Friday for the market) and you wont be disappointed. Also you MUST get to La Herradura for lunch at the beautiful port.
The apartment its self is all you could wish for. Large spacious rooms, clean and well decorated though out.The place just feels like home the moment you walk through the door.
We will definitely be returning in the near future

We stayed in this apartment from 24th September - 9th October 2012. We thought it had a lovely roof terrace with spectacular views to the sea and mountains and from here you can watch the lovely sunsets. Overall the apartment is very nice with leather sofas etc. but we felt the two smaller bedrooms were very basic. We had to ask the owner to replace the saucepans (which to be fair he did promptly the next day) as the old ones were awful. There was also a foul smell inside when the wind was in the wrong direction. The Spa/indoor pool comes at an extra charge of 4 euros each for 90 mins use. You have to purchase and wear a bathing hat at 1.50 each (even the men). When we went it was only open for 4 hours on Saturday and 4 on Sunday. The outdoor pool was closed for the winter, which we expected. There is not any wif-fi in the apartment as stated. You have to sit downstairs in the gardens to get wi fi. As we went late in the season the only eating place open to was the golf club, otherwise we had to drive to Salobrena or Motril. Salobrena is a lovely old Spanish town with winding streets and a castle on the hill. Well worth a visit. Granada is easily accessible via a new fast road. Overall we had a lovely holiday and the apartment was OK but we felt that the description of luxury was a little bit overstated.

Thanks for posting this review we welcome feedback and always act upon it. The smells you mentioned are a common problem with all apartment complexes in Spain due to the Spanish sewerage systems. We have ourselves experienced this but not often and when we have, the smell goes completly within a very short period of time. Our Apartment is on the top floor and the smells would come from the drains on the ground floor so its rarely an issue and we have never had complaints about this before. On Wifi its correct that you can only get it by the swimming pool and i accept that our ad is misleading and have now removed this from the description. However ,we appreciate that wifi is expected now by many of our guests and we are making arrangments to have it installed for Easter 2013.We have been selectively letting out the apartment for 3 years ( its our second home and we love it there) and have always received very positive feedback to both the apartment and the surrounding area. The sun terraces have the most magnificent views and are very spacious and private and we are pleased you enjoyed these
