Casa Mandarina comprises 340 square metres. It has been beautifully designed around a Moroccan theme and offers features such as a surround sound music system and state of the art kitchen. The sitting room is large measuring 15 x 15 metres and leads into a large dining room. It has numerous terraces facing the sea and a large infinity pool. The house is in a quiet location, surrounded by countryside on a no-through road. All the bedrooms are large doubles. Shops and beaches are a few minutes drive from the house. There is enough parking for two or three cars.
In 2010 we added a pergola at the end of the pool. This is a perfect place to sunbathe or dine under. The views across the sea are fabulous. We also added what can only be described as a Folly in the back courtyard. It's an impressive feature over 3 metres high and adds a lot of interest to the walled garden. Ideal for early evening drinks as the sun goes down.

The master bedroom suite includes a roll top bath, wet room and music system. All accommodation is of the highest standard. There are 4 large double bedrooms, all situated downstairs. These are naturally cool at night and each has an overhead fan that adds to your night- time comfort. In November 2010 we added an overspill room in the tower. This is reached by a spiral staircase from the dining room. It has two couches and is equipped as a home cinema with HD DVD facilities. The house has so many nooks and crannies that it is possible to get away from everyone when you need a bit of peace. Most people who have holidayed here describe it as the best villa they have ever stayed in.

Fabulous views all day and particularly at night. At night you can light the garden and pool or just wait for the numerous solar tree lights to come on naturally. There are lots of trees and shrubs and we have lemons, oranges, figs and plantains.
English speaking representative on hand at all times. Additional furniture such as extra beds, cot, high chair etc available for hire. Shopping and food packs can be arranged. Details about taxis, places to visit will be supplied.

The Costa Tropical region
The Costa Tropical benefits from some of the best weather in Europe. It is warm for most of the year. At Christmas people can be seen swimming in the sea! It is possible in the winter to get a sun tan in the morning and go skiing in the Sierra Nevada in the afternoon. The house is just over an hour from the ski slopes.
Summers are hot but the position of the villa ensures that you have breezes throughout the day. Unlike many of The Costas, The Costa Tropical is unspoiled by mass tourism. It is the perfect place to get away from it all and soak up local culture. Granada and the Alhambra are less than an hour away. The new motorway means that we are now only 1 hour door to door from Malaga airport.
The Salobrena / Monte de Los Almendros area
Monte de los Almendros is one of the most sought after areas on the Costa Tropical. The main town is Salobrena. It is dominated by large, detached houses and has its own activity centre including tennis court, football pitch and swimming pool. Our house is in a secluded part of the community and has plenty of outside spaces so there is always somewhere to disappear to and get away from it all. The villa benefits form its own large pool and gardens. From the house, Granada is a short distance as is the town of Almunecar. For full details of the area please ask. The motorways now reach Salobrena and journey times have been significantly shortened. Granada - 50 minutes, Malaga - 1 hour. Airlines covering these airports include, Monarch, Easyjet, Aer Lingus, British Airways and Ryanair.
