The Andalucia region

SALOBREÑA is close to the must-see places in the area, due to its privileged geographical situation. From Salobreña you can visit Granada, Sierra Nevada, the cave houses in the North Eastern part of the province, the West of Granada. As for the South, that is the Alpujarras, Motril, Almuñécar, the so called La Contraviesa area, and Los Guajares, they are all you at less than a 30 minute drive.

As for the activities, you can go diving, spear fishing, canyoning, surfing, hang gliding, hiking, mountain biking, skiing in Sierra Nevada, ..... Folk traditions show the culture of our land. During Holy Week, the processions pass through the historic center. In Salobreña, you can see the particularly moving procession of “la Soledad” on Holly Friday night, in which only women participate. There are also interesting processions to see in Almuñecar and Motril. There are so many festivals you just cannot miss, such as San Juan´s Day on june 24th, La Virgen del Carmen, on 16th July, and the pilgrimage of the Virgen del Rosario, on 7th october.
