Villa Mira Mar is a recently built holiday villa that is tucked away on a very quiet side street within a peaceful & established residential community overlooking Salobrena, the gem of the Costa Tropical. If you want luxurious and comfortable self catering accommodation, then Villa Mira Mar is for you.
This was originally designed to be our family home, so there are many extras including an 11 metre long heated pool for year round use, a hot tub, 2 large covered porches to stay cool in summer, central hot and cold air conditioning and superb finishes and furnishings. Uninterrupted views to the Mediterranean can be enjoyed from every single room. Our guests love watching the dolphins. Bring your binoculars to see them up close. The sunrises & sunsets are picture perfect!

The Costa Tropical/Granada region
The historic city of Granada with the spectacular Alhambra Palace is only 45 minutes away. The small mountain villages of the Alpujarras are well worth exploring. Other places of interest include Almunecar with its markets and Roman ruins, La Herradura with its beautiful harbour and Nerja with its underground caves. Our guests love this area because it is still Spanish and very much unspoilt. It is how the Costa del Sol used to be before it was overdeveloped. This is the right place to come to get a true taste of Spain.
Salobrena / Monte de Los Almendros area
The beautiful beaches of the Costa Tropical, restaurants and shops are only 5 minutes away affording you the best of both worlds - close proximity to everything yet truly peaceful and relaxing surroundings. Less than a 5 minute walk from the villa is the community recreational area. Our guests have free use of all of the facilities including a large communal pool, children's pool, playground, tennis, table tennis, football pitch and even a basketball hoop. This is a great place for children to socialise with other kids and to use up their excess energy!
How to get there
AIRPORTS: The closest airports to Salobrena are in Granada, Malaga and Almeria. GRANADA airport is 45 minutes from our villa. However, the majority of our guests use MALAGA airport as there are hundreds of flights daily from all over Europe. Malaga airport is less than an hour away from our villa. Almeria is around 75 minutes away.
CAR RENTAL We have an agreement with a several car hire companies that offer our clients a 10 to 15 % discount. Please ask us for details upon booking so you can take advantage of this savings.

Further details indoors: From the private parking area, you ascend a few stairs leading to a large south facing terrace with a beautiful long, sinuous pool with decorative rock features and a rustic style Spanish covered porch that really belongs on a magazine cover. On this large terrace, there are comfortable sun loungers and plenty of space to sit pool side (either in the shade or in the sun) and take in the wonderful uninterrupted sea views. The entrance to the villa is off of this terrace, which means the pool and terrace area can be completely closed off to young children merely by closing the front door. This enables parents to relax if they have young children that aren´t good swimmers by knowing their children can´t enter the pool area without them.
Upon entering this holiday rental villa, you are faced with an enormous, beautifully decorated open plan living and dining room with views to the sea from every angle. There are 2 large french doors that lead to terraces, one of which is covered. This is a great spot for al fresco dining as it is very close to the large, state of the art kitchen that even includes a double size refrigerator. There is a herb garden and a large gas barbeque on the terrace just outside the kitchen door to assist you in creating delightful Mediterranean meals.
On the entry level, there is also a bedroom with a queen size bed and an en suite bathroom. This makes Villa Mira Mar a nice choice for 2 families vacationing together or grandparents vacationing with their children/grandchildren as adult couples can have privacy since the 2 bedrooms with en suite bathrooms are on separate floors.
Upstairs there are 3 very ample sized bedrooms, one of which can sleep up to 4 people. The master bedroom has a large and luxurious en suite bath done completely in tumbled marble. It really is fabulous. There is a large walk in shower with a bench to sit on and relax while the water massages your back. There is also a large, romantic round tub for two. Even the master bathroom has uninterrupted sea views! As for the master bedroom itself, the views are beyond description. There are 5 large windows from which to enjoy the views of the sea, the town of Salobrena and the mountains. There is a super king size bed that floats in the middle of the room allowing for maximum enjoyment of the views. There is a terrace off of the master bedroom. The other 2 bedrooms on this floor also have great views and terraces. There is a lovely guest bathroom with a combination shower/bath for the use of both upstairs bedrooms. You really need to see this villa for yourself to appreciate how special it is!

Electricity charged separately from November until end April.

We really enjoyed our stay at the villa and I must say that having all the towels we could possibly need provided made a huge difference on the packing front.
The welcome pack was great - much better than we've had elsewhere. We thought the range of crockery and glasses (particularly providing plastic alternatives) was excellent and very sensible.
Mira Mar is definitely the most comfortable villa that I have stayed in for a long time and we will certainly recommend it to our friends and family and we may very well be back ourselves sometime.
