Attractive 2 bedroom apartment in the heart of Salo' We are delighted to a offer you private, self-catering accommodation in our Italian holiday home, an attractive 2 bedroom town apartment in the heart of Salò, a gorgeous lakefront town full of life, with designer shops, fantastic restaurants and just a short walk from the lake itself.
Central location, easy access to shops, ferries and amenities It is in the heart of Salò, one of the most exclusive and picturesque towns on the lake. The lake front and the town's historic centre is just a few minutes walk. The apartment itself is tastefully furnished with a stylish, modern feel, and is around 85 square metres total. There are two large balconies, one off the living room and one off the main bedroom, giving breathtaking views over the lake and town. Note: the apartment is on the third floor, and there is no lift.

The Lombardy / Lake Garda Area
Some fifty miles long and eleven miles across at its widest point, Garda stretches from Alpine-like Riva di Trento at its northernmost point, to the almost Mediterranean resorts of its southern shores. The lake is one of the most popular of all 'lakes and mountains' destinations and it's easy to understand why. Equally favoured by mild winds in the winter and cooling breezes in the summer months, the lake's equable microclimate provides a perfect backdrop for enjoyable holidays.
Across the lake, the historic steamers ply their trade between the resorts and colourful sailboats and windsurfers hint at more energetic pursuits. Ashore, rest and relaxation are very much the order of the day. Cafe' life, delicious ice cream from a host of gelaterie, plentiful shopping for handicrafts or other souvenirs, or just a seat in the sun on a lakeside promenade are all happy pre-occupations for most although there are always more active diversions to be found.
Walkers are especially at home on the lake's eastern shore, with the footpaths and easy trails of Monte Baldo offering stunning views of the lake and the mountains beyond. Explore the resorts or join the optional excursions, which will give you the opportunity to experience the magic of the incomparable city of Venice, La Serenissima, the romance of Verona setting for the tragic tale of 'Romeo and Juliet' and the natural beauty of the dramatic Dolomites.
Salo area
Sitting on an enchanting gulf at the foot of Mount S. Bartolomeo (568 m), Salo' is the capital of the Upper Garda area within the province of Brescia. The old city centre between Piazza Carmine, the "Fossa" and the lake shore is a dense network of streets, alleys and small squares lined with elegant homes, shops, restaurants and bars. There are many hotels and some first rate inns and rooms to rent. The market held every Saturday morning is very popular. Neighborhoods of the town (Barbarano, Campoverde, Cunettone, Renzano, San Bartolomeo, Serniga and Villa) are marvelous spots for excursions and walks. Fishing, windsurfing, rowing, yachting and tennis are readily available. There are public facilities for swimming, football, volleyball, basketball and bocce, while private facilities are available for dance, gymnastics, fencing, judo, etc. Salò, which lies between the Valtenesi, Valsabbia and the Upper Garda areas, is in a particularly favorable geographical position. Public transportation to and from Desenzano, Brescia and Riva is quite good, and there is regular ferry service between the major towns on the lake from March to October.

Further details indoors: The apartment has been furnished as a true home from home The apartment at Via Bertanza offers a true home from home, with every facility for a comfortable stay.
The apartment is in a 1970s apartment building on a quiet residential road just off the main town. The apartment entrance opens to a living and dining area, with a large, comfortable corner sofa, a colour television with DVD player, a small dining area with a table that can open up to seat up to 6, and a balcony on which you can dine al fresco and take in the views.
There is a small kitchen, separate from the living area, fitted out with a modern oak laminate design, with microwave, fan oven, hob, fridge and freezer, and a washing machine.
Another balcony leads off the main bedroom, which is a double, and there is also an additional double bedroom without balcony, making a total of two double bedrooms. We can also provide a travel cot, meaning the apartment can sleep 4 plus one baby.
Further details outdoors: The balconies off the living room and bedroom give a simply breathtaking view of the lake, which itself is within easy walking distance. You can just nip out to visit the designer shops, boutiques, fantastic restaurants and trattorias, and even hop on the ferry and visit other lakeside towns of Lake Garda.
