Travel Notes useful
From here, at no more than an hour and a half drive, train or bus (I say this from experience), you can visit places of outstanding beauty such as Paestum, Agropoli, Palinuro, Velia, Amalfi, Cetara, Ravello, Santa Maria di Castellabate, Pollica, Scario, Padula, Teggiano, Acciaroli, Scala. In short, a land rich in history, flavors and natural beauty.
Arbostella Park is a residential neighborhood of Salerno. The proximity of the many retail outlets and the ease of getting to various destinations from the park makes for a comfortable stay at our propety. The presence of numerous pizzerias, including the historic "Carminuccio", will also make a pleasant evening spent in the area, which will be completed with a visit to the greenhouse of succulents to Mercatello Park. II.
To move around without a car and reach the various places there is, less than 50 meters, the bus terminus of the CSTP, convenient as a starting point for those who want to travel in the city using public transportation. Once seated, with a journey time of less than 30 minutes you can visit the Garden of Minerva (botanical garden of the School of Medicine) and where I work, the Duomo, the museum of the Medical School, the museum Papi (instruments of Medicine) or the many little churches scattered in the historic center of Salerno. Also, do not forget to visit the city there are the Provincial Museum, rich in historical artifacts of great value, and the Castle Arechis.
You can use too the metro station at no more 200 mt from the appartment.
For information on times and strokes available with a smartphone you can visit the site of the METRO (www.metrosalerno.com), or CSTP (www. cstp. It) and for trips in Amalfi Coast Cilento or you can use the SITA (www. sitasudtrasporti. It), all traveling with the same ticket Unico Campania. For more information we are always at your disposal.
If you want to use the car to go into town, starting from Arbostella park, the parking in the downtown area more economically convenient is to Vinciprova (1 euro every 4 hours) where is also the terminus of the SITA. In about 10 minutes you will be at the station and you can start your tour of Salerno.
hint: it is obvious, but keep in mind that the closer you get to the center and more parking cost increases until to reach EUR 2,5 for hour (common area).
For those who want to spend a day without wandering, the bathing establishments, which are located within a distance of 200 meters, are within easy walking distance offer access to the sea and the swimming pool for the most demanding (Kursal, Sea Garden, and Lido Mercatello).
