The two bedroomed property offers a bright and airy open plan living area with patio doors leading to the front garden overlooking the swimming pool, whilst the fully refurbished kitchen leads to a patio area overlooking the National Park with built in barbecue that benefits from the evening sun. There are two bedrooms, with the master bedroom being en-suite with a balcony enjoying the morning sun, whilst the second bedroom enjoys uninterrupted spectacular views over the National Park - Both bathrooms, again fully refurbished.

The Algarve / West Algarve region


The Western Algarve offers a delightful climate throughout the year and has something for everyone. There are miles of safe golden beaches, ancient moorish towns, picturesque villages and a vast National Park.
There are numerous activities for both adults and children. In the busier town of Lagos just 15 minutes drive away, with its cobbled streets and history going back beyond Henry the Navigator, there are numerous good restaurants, busy bars and a fabulous marina complex. Whilst Sagres, 15 minutes drive further West provides outstanding surfing on the Atlantic coast. Numerous surfing beaches on the West coast within 15/20 minute drive.
The Salema area
Figueira is a small, unspoilt, farming village and our small settlement of 27 houses on the edge of the village encompasses beautifully kept gardens and two heated swimming pools, whilst backing onto the National Park. The nearby Parque da Floresta Golf & Country Club (PDF) maintains the site and operate a 24 hour reception which will resolve any problems you have and gain access to all the facilities at PDF (including golf, driving range, tennis courts and spa).
The reception also have details of all the local attractions, Boat trips, Watersports, a fabulous Waterpark and Horseriding which are all within a short drive and will be pleased to book any of them for you, including Taxi's. Boa Vista Golf Club, which is a 10 minute drive you may have to book yourself!
Salema is a delightful relaxed fishing village with many of the traditional aspects still present. Indeed, enjoying a coffee at one of the beach cafes watching the fishermen unload their daily catch is not to be missed. There are a number of beach cafes, restaurants, convenience stores and and a handfull of small shops within a very short stroll. A large well stocked supermarket and bakery are just a 5 minute drive away.

Flights to Faro on a daily basis in most cases, operated by - Monarch, Easyjet, Jet2, Air2000, British Airways and TAP from the UK.
Alternatively you could either fly to Lisbon to spend a few nights and drive down the new autoroute which will take around 3.5 hours, or take a ferry to Santander and drive south (6 to 8 hours).
Most major car hire companies are located at Faro Airport with very easy on site collection and drop off, in most cases.

You were right - your place is fantastic. So much so we would love to extend our stay by 3 more nights I.e. Departing Monday rather than Friday.
