Casa Alegro is located in the lovely fishing village of Salema and is right in front of the beach. The views are fantastic! The house is just a few steps away from the beautiful bay, as well as local restaurants, cafés, supermarkets and activities, yet the property itself is very quiet as it is n a cul-de-sac.

The house is set on two levels: on the ground floor is a living room with an open kitchen and a bathroom. Upstairs are two bedrooms and an extra toilet. From the balcony are truly amazing sea views and you can watch the original Algarvian fishing boats passing by, still working to this day.

The interior of the house is simple and tastefully decorated with wooden finishings, beautiful ceramic tiles, and prettily finished with an Indonesian touch.

**there are fans in the bedrooms instead of air conditioning**

Holiday villas in Portugal

A Villa Parade holiday in Portugal means staying in one of Europe's warmest countries. Regardless of where you are, you can expect summer temperatures to be around 30°C which means our range of coastal resorts are perfect for your stay. You can spend a day at the beach, taking a dip in the Atlantic whenever you feel like cooling off, or hire one of our many villas with swimming pools.

Beaches

Along with its great climate, Portugal has an absolute wealth of beaches. With over 850 kilometres of coastline, there are a lot of Portuguese beaches to discover, but our villas in the Algarve put you within easy reach of some of the best. Portugal is one of the best locations in Europe for a beach holiday when you take a look at what the country can offer holiday makers. Whether you want to take advantage of the beach-bars for a drink, try your hand at some water sports (surfing, jet-skiing, kite-surfing and windsurfing are common activities) or just lounge on the sand, Portugal can provide the perfect place for you to do so.

Culture

If you'd rather spend all or part of your holiday delving into Portugal's rich history and culture, then many of our villas to rent in Algarve are close to plenty of cities and towns throughout the country which offer not only a rich variety of monuments, museums and other places of interest, but also some fantastic views; Portugal is an absolutely beautiful country with plenty to offer the sightseer. There are also large areas of the country that allow the local wildlife to roam undisturbed, and any nature-lovers are sure to enjoy a trip to Peneda-Gerês, the Duoro Valley and Serra da Estrela.

Golf

There's also Portugal's golf. Recent years have seen the country become a great destination for fans of the sport, with plenty of Portugal's golf courses ranking amongst the best in Europe. Not only are the courses great for experts and newcomers alike, but they're also designed to allow you to enjoy Portugal's wonderful landscape and views.

Events

Another advantage of our villas in Portugal is being able to take advantage of some of Portugal's festivals, especially the Festival do Sudoeste in the south of the country, which takes advantage of the long stretches of beach and excellent landscapes to put on one of Portugal's most famous and well-received festivals.

Shopping

If you've got an interest in fashion, then a stay in one of our holiday villas in Algarve can be a great chance to pick up some of Portugal's finest offerings. Fairs are the perfect place to pick up unique, handcrafted items, including purses, clothes, glass ornaments and more. There are also some great fashion houses, well-known inside Portugal, that you can find dedicated shops for, or in some of the fashion shops in towns and cities.

Cuisine

Food fans will find themselves spoilt for choice during a villa holiday in Portugal. Soup might not sound like an adventurous dish, but the Portuguese have turned soup-making into an art form. You'll find soups made of fish, sausages, chicken and all sorts of other ingredients, often as the first course to the rest of a delicious meal. The grilled chicken, sardines, veal and pork are all mainstays in Portuguese restaurants. There is also a huge selection of pork, beef, seafood and even wild boar dishes that can be found in restaurants throughout the country. During meals, Portugal's famous wines are the perfect accompaniment, and a port wine is a great post-meal drink.

We have villas in some of Portugal's best resorts, and whilst our villas in Algarve are always popular, there are plenty of other resorts that provide all you need for a great holiday. Why not stay in a villa in Albufeira and enjoy some of Portugal's best beaches? Or enjoy the golfing that villas in Vilamoura offer? Villas in Carvoeiro are a great choice for those looking for somewhere quieter, perfect for fans of beautiful scenery.

Salema

Lagos, often referred to as the Golden Coast due to the yellowish colour of its rocks, is the most historically interesting coastal town in the Algarve. As a villa holiday destination, Lagos is perfect, and offers something for everyone - there's long stretches of sandy beach and tiny coves for the sun-worshipper, fantastic golf courses, tennis, horse riding and a choice of watersports for the sports enthusiast, and plently of great sites to see, including the 17th century moated fortress overlooking the harbour, for the history-lover.

Lagos has some of the most stunning beaches in the Algarve - from tiny coves to long stretches of sand - these include the uncrowded, small town beach of Lagos, and, to the west of Lagos is Praia de Dona Ana, the Algarve's most photogenic beach.

It is a town where you can spend hours strolling round the shops on the picturesque cobbled streets, pausing for a refreshing Portuguese beer or a coffee in sun-baked squares. There are restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets in Lagos, the resort is packed with excellent restaurants and the row of fish restaurants beside the seafood and vegetable market is well worth a visit.
