The Devon region

Few areas of the UK, or even Europe, have a lure greater than beautiful South Devon. Dramatic Dartmoor gives way to rolling hills, wooded valleys and stunning coastline that never fails to leave visitors wishing they could stay just that little bit longer. While away your days in market towns and quaint villages that retain their tradition whilst now offering fine dining and excellent shopping, or leave the townships behind and head to any one of the outstanding sandy beaches that dot the South Devon coast. It's impossible not to fall in love with lazy, relaxed South Devon and it's otherworldly pace of life.

Holiday cottages in Salcombe have long been the destination of choice for those looking to combine the stunning South West countryside with a vibrant and well-catered for town. Perched on the banks of the estuary, picturesque cottages, town-houses and converted apartments offer breathtaking views across the water to sandy beaches and the glimmering ocean. Ferry services make the short trip back and forth to the golden sands of East Portlemouth, Mill Bay and Sunny Cove whilst the energetic can pick up the South West Coastal Path to enjoy some unrivalled scenery. Back in the town there are plenty of boutique shops, restaurants and waterside pubs for your enjoyment offering the perfect setting to relax and take in the spectacular surrounds; or you can return to the comfort of your Salcombe holiday cottage, pull out your favourite book and forget all your troubles... for a short-while at least!

"Disappointing - not as we had hoped"

Garden much smaller than seems in photos. Well proportioned house - but notices everywhere! Chipped crockery and pages ripped out of the guest book......Owners very unhelpful - we were a key short for… More

Hi, we are sorry to hear that you had some issues with the property during your stay. The garden is in fact quite a large one for Salcombe (with property prices as high as London!)but apologies if the pictures made it seem larger. The crockery will be replaced.
Regarding the key, sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused but it is our policy to have one key (and normally a key safe) to ensure that keys are not lost.
We hope you did enjoy your stay and that we can welcome you back to the South West soon.
