This large 3 bedroom villa is between the white villages of Sedella and Salares and is on the edge of the Tejeda National Park.

The quiet rural location makes it ideal for a relaxing holiday with family and friends around the swimming pool.

There are many good walks from the house for the more active guests and horse riding and cycle hire are available locally.

The nearest golf course,water park, shopping mall and beach are approximately 40 minutes away.

Sedella and Salares are 20 minutes walking/5 minutes by car and the larger village of Competa is 20 minutes by car.

Granada and the Sierra Nevada can be reached in 2 hours.

The lounge has a wood burning stove, television with satellite connection, free WiFi internet (bring your own laptop), DVD player and music system. There are plenty of books, DVDs, games and tourist information for visitors use.

One end of the lounge leads to 2 bedrooms; a double and a twin bedded room separated by a family bathroom.

The other end of the lounge connects to a large well equipped kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine, oven, hob, microwave and fridge freezer. Adjoining the kitchen is the dining room with extending table, bookcases, desk and internet access.

Upstairs is an en-suite bedroom with king sized bed and access to 2 terraces- perfect for some private sunbathing or a glass of wine as you watch the sun go down over the hills and look at the mountain.

There are 2 outside terraces downstairs. At the front the shaded terrace with table and chairs gives spectacular views to the surrounding countryside and mountains. There is also a terrace at the rear of the house with BBQ, gas ring, hotplate, and another set of table and chairs.

The pool 8m x 4m is fenced. There are plenty of loungers, parasols and a picnic table and swing seat outside.

The land has lemon,almond and olive trees, flowers and herbs surround the house.

There is an air-con unit in the upstairs bedroom; all other areas have ceiling or free standing fans.

The Andalucia region

The largest towns are Velez Malaga and the adjacent coastal Torre del Mar, with every modern amenity but inland is really special. The Axarquia region is characterised by spectacular scenery and white mountain villages which still retain features from Moorish times. Thre are many local fiestas throughout the year and each village has its own theme (e.g. Wine, Mules, Moors, Black Pudding! ) as well as celebrations during the usual religious holidays.

Traditional way of life is evident and goats, almonds and olives still feature in the local economy.

Although winter months can be cooler the region enjoys good weather virtually all year. Spring and autumn are especially good for walking the many mountain paths and there is an abundance of wildlife, including eagles, mountain goats, vultures etc.


The east of Malaga is completely different from many peoples perception of the Costa del Sol. The villages are unspoilt but this rural mountain area is not too remote. Staying close to the house ensures a quiet relaxing holiday to lounge around the pool while enjoying the scenery, wildlife and spectacular sunsets. The coast and beach at Torre can be reached in 40 minutes, the pretty seaside town of Nerja in less than an hour and Granada and the Alhambra palace in about 2 hours. Malaga itself is often ignored but the old town is worth a visit and there are many museums, art galleries, theaters and restaurants to enjoy.
