The obvious attraction about the apartment is the stunning views but equally enticing is the location. Ideally positioned in the sleepy village of Sala Comacina, the apartment enjoys views out and beyond the isola comacina island and is superbly situated to reach all parts of the lake. There is something for everyone along the lake from sunbathing, lakeside walks, the famous cuisine and wine,history in abundance, villas, shopping or just a wonderful atmosphere to sit back and unwind. Just 5 minutes walk will take you to the village with it's local restaurants serving a superb range of local italian dishes as well as some idyllic little bars. The apartment is located in the heart of the "golden triangle" a small area of the lake famed for it's sunnier climate and beautiful scenery! From here you can access all parts of the lake by boat, car or bus which run on a regular basis throughout the summer season. Beaches, villas, shops, a supermarket and minimarket are all to be found within close proximity.

The Lombardy / Lake Como Area
Lake Como, in the shape of an upside down Y with it's forks ending respectively in the towns of Como and Lecco and Bellagio in the centre has appealed to italian artists and poets for many a year gone by. Lying between Lugano and the alps 50 km north of Milan. Many novels including "The betrothed"by Alessndro Manzoni have been set on the famous shores of Lake Como. Whilst famous visitors from Shelley to Longfellow, Lizt to Mark twain who once wrote " and in the burnished mirror of the lake, the houses, groves and boats are counterfeited so brightly and so clearly that one scarce knows where the reality leaves off and the beauty begins!" Nowadays people still return to Lake Como for the beauty and tranquil lifestyle it provides. The gentle climate is perfect for rest and recuperation while the dolce vita is evident in abundance be it food, fashion, scenery or just the laid back atmosphere the welcoming local people help conjure.
Sala Comacina area
The beauty about lake como is in it's diversity offering so much to so many. If you just want to come away for a week or so and put your feet up by the balcony or pool with obvious benefit of world renowned scenery Lake Como will not dissapoint.The area's only sandy golden man made beach can be found close to Sala Comacina where waitors bring you your favourite cocktail while you admire the lake from beneath your minature tented gazebo! For those who like to get out and about, lakeside walks, breathtaking villas, pretty piazzas, majestic mountains, quaint villages and quintessential italian cities beckon. The local regional food is amongst the finest in Italy as you would expect from a region so passionate about food. Visit your local green grocer for some plum tomatoes and without asking he'll tell you the most simple, yet delcious receipe for you to enjoy them to their fullest! Let us know your tastes and we will be happy to recommend our favourite restauarants to suit your requirements. Dito the fashion with assistants happy to spend hours helping you pick out the right shirt with the right style of collar or the right silk scarf to match your dress. Milan is just over an hour away for the principal designers but Como city offers a more compact altenative with it's array of little boutiques, cafe culture paved streets, gothic cathedrals and stunning lakeside location. Romantics are well served with the Villa Carlotta and it's majestic gardens,Villa Erba in Cernobbio, another lakeside favourite of ours perfect to enjoy a gelato along the lake front whilst walking off another italian lunch! Perhaps the most popular for sheer beauty is Villa Balbianello in near by Lenno. Eagle eyed James Bond fans will no doubt have spotted the villa in the latest 007 adventure "Casino Royale" Cheese and wine tours can be arranged as can a visit to the Volta musuem in Como where you can learn all about Alessandro Volta and is 18th century electric invention! BA, Ryanair or Easyjet fly reguarly from Heathrow, Gatwick, Stanstead, Liverpool, Birmingham & Bristol.
Car hire is recommended to get the most from your stay although not essential.All the major companies are available from Milan Malpensa, Linate and Bergamo airports and can be booked online.

The living room has been tastefully designed with comfortable chairs and dining for 4. A tv, dvd & midi system where you can enjoy your favourite sounds while taking in the view are all available. The extensive balcony commands breathtaking views and is the perfect spot for a touch of alfresco dining with the patio set seating for 4. The master bedroom includes a comfortable double bed as well as ample wardrobe space. A futher bedroom sleeps 2 more guests comprising of a bunk bed and ample hanging space. The bathroom includes a modern shower, w/c and bidet.
