The Island of Malta region
The flat is situated in the north of the island. The region offers spectacular views across to Gozo and Comino. Relaxed Comino has an abundance of small bays and caves but the main attraction is the Blue Grotto, a stunning lagoon with turquoise blue water. Gozo offers the most picturesque scenery of the Maltese Islands and some of the best Mediterranean diving sites. You can find cheap day trips to Comino and Gozo by walking down to Bugibba square. A short bus ride takes you to Mellieha Bay, Malta's longest sandy beach.
Non-regional but short bus rides: Valletta, the capital which is full of history and Maltese heritage, built wthin some of the large bastions that feature in most parts of the great harbour area. Check out the upper barrakka for its stunning views over the harbour.
Also a must see for all interested in history and culture is the silent city, as it is called - Mdina and its boundary walls.
Saint Paul's Bay / Bugibba area
Bugibba is one of the largest resorts on the island with rocky and sandy beaches. It has a wide selection of souvenir shops, cafes, bars, restaurants, nightlife and casino. Cinema is just 2 minutes walk from apartment. The flat is situated also within walking distance of the Qawra area which offers a rocky bathing area and good range of watersports.
The Malta Classic Car Museum is definitely worth a visit. It is situated in Qawra down a side road off the main road that runs along the Qawra coastline.
Malta is well know for its village 'festas', the ones in St Pauls Bay and Mellieha (celebrated round 8 September) are very close to the area.
How to get there
Airlines: AirMalta fly from Gatwick, Heathrow, Stansted, Manchester, Leeds Bradford, Birmingham, Glasgow and various other airports in the UK and Europe. Ryanair fly from Luton whilst EasyJet do Gatwick and Manchester.

What a fantastic Apartment, very comfortable and it had everything we needed for a great holiday. It is very close to the bus station so we got about and explored the island on the very cheap buses. The apartment is only about a 5 min walk to the built up area which has lots of shops and bars/restaurants. Try the George they do excellent bar meals and special offers. If you turn left from the apartment and down some steps you get onto the main road, turn left again and you can do a circular walk all the way down the promenade which is really lovely and there are plenty of Kiosks to stop and have a drink/sandwich. We would definitely stay there again and the owners actually got in touch with us while we were there to see if everything was ok and if we needed anything which we thought was very nice.
