Vitorin 4 apartment stands aloof on the 4th floor of a corner block of 4 apartments bang in the middle of the bay. It consists of a hall, 2 double bedrooms (one with ensuite shower/toilet/sink), finely-tiled bathroom and a large open-plan kitchen/dining/living that opens onto a large terraced balcony overlooking the bay. The panoramic views can be enjoyed from inside but the180-degree landscape of the bay has to be viewed to be appreciated. All rooms are airconditioned and all appliances are electric, with washing machine and dishwasher included. All furniture is finely worked pine and all rooms are bright and airy with large openings. Soft furnishings complement the daintiness of the place to make your stay pleasant and memorable.

The apartment is situated right on the main attraction of st pauls bay - the 5-kilometre long promenade along which everything happens. Along the coastal walk one finds fine hotels, restaurants, snack-bars, bars, pizzerias, fine shops of every kind, and even a casino. The shoreline beneath is littered with all kind of activity, from traditional bowling games to fun parks, besides of course rocky and sandy beaches with crystal-clear waters. The place is a mecca for maltese and foreign visitors alike.

In spite of the hustle and bustle along the promenade the apartment takes it all in, yet excudes the din due to its high position on the road overlooking the promenade. Shopping and bathing are close and within easy reach.

Whatever one's tastes, the apartment offers it all: either join in the activity or else enjoy it all, including the views beyond, from the comfort of your sofa or verandah chair sipping a favourite drink quietly at leisure.

St. Pauls bay lies quite close to the other main bathing attractions of the island. The sandy beaches of golden bay and mellieha bay are only some 8 kilometres away and reachable by bus. Buses are frequent along the promenade and everywhere is within easy reach. Valletta is only 40 minutes away. The gozo ferry is similarly placed and quite easy to reach by bus.

The Island of Malta region

Saint Paul's Bay (Maltese: San Pawl il-Ba?ar, Italian: Baia di San Paolo) is a town in Malta, situated in the north east of the island of Malta, sixteen kilometres from the capital city Valletta.

It derives its name from the shipwreck of Saint Paul, as documented in the Acts of the Apostles, due to the tradition that Saint Paul was shipwrecked on the isles, named St. Paul's Isles, which are situated in St Paul's Bay. According to the Bible, St. Paul was shipwrecked on an island which many scholars have identified as Malta on his voyage from Caesarea to Rome. The Maltese people believe that it was St. Paul who laid the foundations of Christianity on the island.

Bugibba is the central locality of the modern part of the town and lies opposite Xemxija across the bay.

The resident population in December 2010 stood at 14,057 persons. This population goes up to about 60,000 during the period of June to September. The increase is due both to Maltese summer residents and tourists lodging in hotels, especially in Bugibba and Qawra.

Although the town is a modern tourist area there are some very pretty natural highlights close by. Heading north there is Mistra Bay, its headland and St Paul's Island. Further to the north there is the Gozo Ferry that takes visitors to the sister island of Gozo. Going west and crossing the island towards the pretty sandy beaches of Gnejna Bay and Golden Bay is the scenic Wardija Ridge.

Valletta is only 13 kilometres away and the old city of Mdina lies 8 kilometres to the south. Nowhere is far away from Bugibba. It is the ideal place to start off on morning visits to the interesting sites, and relaxing on the beach or having a dip after a siesta. Then enjoy the night life that the resort has to offer for the taste of everybody.

Saint Paul's Bay

The main feature of the area of Bugibba is of course its wonderful promenade that winds its way along the shoreline starting off at the historical Wignacourt Tower (built by the Knights of St John) and extends some three miles (5kilometres) to Kennedy Grove and the old salt pans. The promenade offers a wide-ranging variety of places of leisure, traditional and modern, and is very frequented by Maltese and tourists alike, especially on the weekends in Winter, and on the evenings during the Summer months, which in Malta start as early as May and finish off as late as October.

Kiosks, ice-cream parlours, clubs, bowling (traditional) pitches, children play-areas, volley-ball pitches litter the shore side. On the land side the promenade is full of hotels, banks, restaurants, snack-bars, wine bars, pizzerias, souvenir shops, it, it's there.

Bugibba is very well served with buses and practically all of the island is easily accessed by bus. There are also direct buses to and from the airport. Visit the Arriva-Malta website for further information.
