"If you are looking at this accommodation, book it!"
Lovely home from home, holiday accommodation. Perfect location in beautiful quiet countryside but close to all the major surfing beaches in the area. Fully equiped with everything you would need, plus thoughtful extras like board games for the children, outside activities (swings, a kite, croquet and footballs) to name a few, and tea and biscuits on arrival. Ed & Jo were friendly and very helpful. I phoned the day before to book and as we travelled down received a kind message to warn us of stormy weather. We are a family of five, our youngest child being two, and stayed for four nights in october so my husband could surf. The children had a nice room which comfortably held all three of them, our room was a good size with a lovely comfy bed and wonderful view. The bathroom is spacious with a bath and shower, all towels and lined were provided. The barn is warm and a joy to stay in. All you have to do is turn up! All in all I would highly recommend Trerice barns and would like to stay there again.

"Perfect location, Great Accommodation"
We enjoyed a really great relaxing break at Trerice. The location and accommodation were just fantastic. The Barn was stocked with all that we needed and more. There were some lovely touches such as biscuits/tea/milk on arrival, tea towels, which was a nice gesture. You are within 10 min drive from Newquay and just a few minutes drive from local attractions such as Lappa Valley and Dairyland and also the local pubs. We will definetly be returning in the future.

"Very relaxing and extremely clean accommodation"
Lovely accommodation and ideal location for various locationvisits (but wouldnt recommend visiting Newquay!) Good for families and the owners were extremely helpful but unobstrusive! It felt like home from home so that must be good.. Only small negative was that sometimes we were woken up by a fast driving tractor(?) at about 2am in the morning...but will still come to visit again!

"Wonderful Cornish Hideaway"
We enjoyed a really wonderful, relaxed break at Trerice. We felt very welcome by Jo, there were some lovely touches that went above and beyond usual holiday rentals such as fresh flowers on the table, biscuits/tea/milk on arrival, tea towels, a treat for the dog and salt/pepper etc in the cupboards - all thoughtful little extras that help make your stay a little easier. Jo had even kindly taken in our Tesco shopping that had been delivered much too early. The barn (The Byre) was exactly as it looks online, if not nicer. Its impeccably clean, furnished to a very high standard and really well placed for exploring Cornwall. The bathroom has the most amazing powerful shower which was heaven after a day out trekking the Cornwall coastal paths! If we had one complaint it would be that the bed was a bit too soft which meant we had a few interrupted nights but we rectified this by sleeping the twin room which had firmer mattresses, however had we traveled with kids this wouldn't have been possible so would have posed more of a problem. However this is the only criticism we could find with the whole holiday and we would definitely recommend to friends and will visit again soon we hope!

"Almost perfect - can't wait to return!!"
Barn - The Byre. A very well provided for barn with high quality fixtures & fittings etc . For the 1st time there was obsolutely nothing we wished we had brought with us as everything needed was provided for - a very well thought out place. The views were superb and you could not hear a sound in the distance. fairly remote down country lanes yet only 5miles to the beach - brilliant!! Outside was adequate parking for each barn, a lawned area with picnic benches to use still allowing enough space for the kids to play and even more impressive was the shed which contained outdoor things - bbq's, parasols, windbreaks, garden games - swingball, football, garden jenga and lots lots more!!! (and i was queen of garden jenga!!) Our 1 disappointment was the beds. We struggle to share a double bed as we are used to a kingsized bed probably because neither of us are 'skinny minnies' so in the end our son had the double bed and we had to have the twin room which meant there was no mirror/dressing table in the twin room but that was more to do with our pref for a kingsize bed. if I could recommend anything it would be to remove one bedside table and put a kingsize bed in adn then we would be back year after year!!! Great village shop 1 mile away with instore bakery and everything else you could need.
So glad you enjoyed your stay and thank you for your kind review. You could try our HAYLOFT BARN 166833 with a KING SIZE BED, which provides two bedroom reverse accommodation for 4/5. Maybe a rematch at JENGA next year?

"A real Cornish gem!"
We stayed at Trerice Barns in April with our young son Oliver. Trerice is a real Cornish gem of a find and we speak as regular holidaymakers to Cornwall (this was Oliver's 10th holiday in the County and still only 3!!). The barns (2 linked and one detached) are in the middle of lovely countryside yet near enough to the coast to be convenient. You can holiday here and be in the Newquay buzz in 15 minutes or if you prefer (like us) on the quiet beaches of Crantock or be with the upmarket set watching the pounding surf at Watergate Bay or lunching at Jamie Oliver's Fifteen restaurant. We stayed in one of the link barns, the decor was to high standard and very clean. Even our Tesco food order that had arrived a little early had been thoughtfully unpacked for us and there was fresh flowers and plentiful holiday literature on the local area for us to peruse. For families with young children, the Lappa Valley steam railway is literally 5 minutes drive away and for older visitors the National Trust Manor House of Trerice a similar distance. There really is something for everyone, with a great green space outside the barns with picnic tables in addition to each barn having its own private decking area. The owners Ed and Jo were friendly without being intrusive and had a wealth of local knowledge if you needed it. Everything for a young family had been thought of including toys, books and board games in a 'treasure box' in one of the bedrooms, but the weather was so hot we didn't need them! (Yes and it was April!). Another thoughtful touch was there is a shed in which buckets, spades and beach games like skittles, bat and ball etc could be borrowed. For the standard of accomodation the barns represent very good value and we wouldn't hesitate to stay at Trerice again. Barns could also be booked togther to accommodate large familiy groups if needed. A true find!

"Like home from home."
We had a great weekend in the cottage. There wasn't anything missing from the kitchen, everything we needed was there. The decor was lovely and comfortable and the owners very friendly with a good knowledge of the local area. Our son (2) enjoyed the garden toys in the shed and the decking area was perfect for our BBQ (even though the wind was relentless that day!). We will definately be back in the future. Many thanks Jo.
