Equipped with 2 bedrooms sleeping 5 persons being 2 persons in a double bedroom and 3 persons in a triple bedroom. A double sofabed could then sleep another 2 persons and a foldable bed (available on request) could sleep another person to total 8 persons max if need be. This bright airy modern apartment is 5 minutes walk away from the beach, casino , shops, transport, sea front walks, nightlife and all other entertainment, situated perfectly in beautiful Malta. Fully equipped and air conditioned including LCD TV, DVD, washing machine, microwave, telephone and a spacious sunny backyard, ideal for entertaining, sunbathing and also very safe for kids. An another identical apartment is also avialable, making it ideal for larger groups that would like to rent two separate apartments yet being close to eachother.

The Island of Malta region


The Maltese Islands are positively mythic. The narrow meandering streets of their towns and villages are crowded with Renaissance cathedrals and Baroque palaces. As the countryside is dotted with the oldest known human structures in the world, the Islands have rightly been described as an open-air museum.
The Maltese archipelago lies virtually at the centre of the Mediterranean, with Malta 93km south of Sicily and 288km north of Africa. The archipelago consists of three islands: Malta, Gozo and Comino with a total population of 400,000 inhabitants over an area of 316sq km and a coastline of 196.8km (not including 56.01 km for the island of Gozo).
Malta is the largest island and the cultural, commercial and administrative centre. Gozo is the second largest island and is more rural, characterised by fishing, tourism, crafts and agriculture while Comino is largely uninhabited.
With superbly sunny weather, expansive beaches, a thriving night life and 7,000 years of intriguing history, there is a great deal to see and do. With a little help from any guidebook, captivating places of interest are immediately identified – the world famous Hypogeum selected as a place of World Heritage by UNESCO, prehistoric temples and grand palaces are but a few.
The long relationship between the Islanders and the various nationalities that occupied Malta over the centuries has created a marriage of styles and traditions, giving the Islands a fascinating eclectic culture.
The Saint Julian's / Swieqi area
San Giljan (English: St. Julian's, also San Giljan) is a town in Malta situated along the coast, north of the country's capital, Valletta. It is known for tourism-oriented businesses, such as hotels, restaurants and nightclubs, centred mostly in an area known as Paceville. The town is subdivided into informal districts which are Paceville, Ta' Giorni, Tal-Ghoqod, St. Andrew's, as well as the regions surrounding St. George's Bay, Spinola Bay, Balluta Bay, and Il-Qaliet cliffs.
Saint Julian's is a popular town, usually flowing with tourists, especially during the summer months. It is also a well-sought after destination by the Maltese.

Many airlines fly to Malta on a daily basis internationally including many budget airlines such as Easyjet and Ryan Air. The Maltese Islands are not very large, which makes getting around relatively trouble-free.
The public bus service on Malta and Gozo is a good way to get around as buses serve the major tourist areas, go practically everywhere and are cheap and efficient. The cost of a bus route ranges from €0.35 to €0.58 and the longest bus journey takes about fifty minutes; the average ride is between twenty and thirty minutes
Renting a car is a good option if you want to get to the farther reaches of the island. All the road signs are in English and driving is on the left.
Major and local car hires are located on Malta and Gozo with daily rates of €16 - €28. International and national driving licenses are acceptable. A number of internationally based car hiring firms as well as local garages also offer the services of chauffeur-driven cars.
Renting scooters, motorbikes or mountain bicycles is an option, but travel this way can be somewhat limited as not all roads are two-wheel vehicle friendly.
The white taxi service can pick up passengers from anywhere, except bus-stops. Taxi services from the Malta International Airport and the Seaport Terminal to all localities in Malta are based on a fixed tariff. For more information on taxi rates click here.
A regular ferry service links Malta to Gozo, taking about 20 minutes each way. A sea plane service links Grand Harbour in Valletta to Mgarr Harbour in Gozo. There are also regular boat services between each island and Comino.
A water taxi service using traditional Maltese 'dghajsa' boats is also available in Grand Harbour.

Stayed 10 days in this apartment. Location of the building is great, it's on a walking distance to portomaso and the center of saint julians, really great! Parking is difficult on some days, but that is logical since the location, and the owner told us in advance. Unfortunately we also had many disappointments. The entrance and stairs to the apartment are smelly and dark what gives a bad first impression, the smell is because of the high humidity, even we hardly had rain. The apartment is accessible by an elevator, but this one is really small (2 persons can fit in). The bathroom has a lot of moist on the ceiling since it is very humid. The humidity also causes toilet paper to get wet, we had to throw away some rolls. Small detail what we hated is that the shower had no hook on the wall, you had to hold the shower head when taking a shower. There is a washing machine, but no place to hang the laundry. Towels are provided, but only 2 big ones, one small one and one in the kitchen, so we had to buy some extra. There are some tv channels, but hardly any english. There is no internet or phone, the owner recommended us to buy a usb stick with mobile internet. We did, but had a hard time using it, very unstable and expensive. One of the airco units didnt respond to the remote, so it had one setting, or just off. This made us move to the second bedroom, which had only single beds and several big ants crawling over the floor. Sleeping was difficult because of the building, it's noisy and full of younger holiday guests who like to party. All in all it was a really disappointing apartment. The pictures are full of nice details, like like candles and nice pillows / covers etc. on the beds, but those are not existing in the apartment. We couldn't find the clothes dryer mentioned on the website either. We were happy to move out again, but the owner had a final surprise. He charged us 50 euro from our deposit for a small broken corner of the glass plate on the dinner table. He was sure we broke it. We are sure we didn't , I wouldnt even know how we could practically do that. But there was no way to convince him, and it gave us a really bad feeling since we were sure we didn't break it. |
